House Rental
Beautiful home located in the centre of the vibrant town, Mirleft in Morocco. Located next to several sandy beaches the town is popular with tourists looking for the 'real Morocco'. One of the best surfing areas in Morocco, the town has many activities on offer: surfing, fishing, horse riding, quad biking, walking, and lazing on the beach!
The house is located just a moments walk from the souk, which is the centre of town, and it's many restaurants, cafes and shops. The garden is a major feature, full of lush green plants and beautiful flowers it is the perfect space to relax. Right in the heart of the town it's an oasis of calm. There are 2 sandy beaches both a 15minute walk from the house and there are numerous others located along the coast which are easily accessible if you have a car...

Nice, neat and well decorated home in Mirleft
The apartment is neat, stylish decorated and the terrace is a big plus. Besides the great apartment we loved the hosting and hospitality of Hassan and Fatiha in Mirleft and Amy by app. Everything was clean, the house is bright and sunny. We like the location in Mirleft a lot; close to center and shopping. But also residential area which is quiet.
We would highly recommend to stay here. We rented the top appartment with Terrace.

Magical Mirleft
We just came back from an extraordinary week's stay at Amy and Lahcen's house. The house is even more amazing then the pictures - high ceilings, lots of light, huge bedrooms and all the mod cons you would expect. We enjoyed dinner in their lovely garden and watched the sunset from the rooftop.
Amy arranged a taxi to pick us up from Agadir airport (just over 1.5 hours away) and someone was waiting for us at the house to show us round. MIrleft village - only a 2 minute walk away - is very typically Moroccan. A little souk dotted with artisan shops, a daily market (where you can buy fresh fruit, veg, fish, spices, etc), and lots of coffee shops/restaurants if you don't feel like cooking. Most importantly the locals are extremely warm and friendly. Our 2.5 year old son loved it and got lots of attention. The beaches were a little way away for his little legs (fine for adults though) but we easily hitched a ride from the locals (or you could rent a car/get a taxi.) We spent all our days lazing at the beach (lots of amazing beaches to chose from), building sandcastles, swimming and eating prickly pears. We also went to Tiznit (30 minutes by taxi) one day to visit the silver market and to buy some amlou (local delicacy of ground almonds, honey and argan oil).
We would definitely recommend staying here - it's great for families and/or a group of friends (we were a family of 3 and 2 friends). We were really sad to leave and are already planning our next trip back!!

About the neighbourhood
The house is located in the centre of the small town of Mirleft.
Mirleft is a coastal town (previously mainly a fishing town), which has grown in recent years and is now popular with holiday makers.
There are 2 beaches within easy walking distance of the town centre and many, many more along the coast in both directions. The area is popular for surfing as well as fishing, paragliding, horse-riding and quad biking.
Behind the town are hills scattered with small traditional villages. There are many walking routes you can take through the hills. There is a small river which flows down from the hills to the sea at Mirleft - a particularly nice walk is to go up along the river into the hills and then back down to Mirleft in a circular route.
There is an old kasbah on the hill above Mirleft (it used to be a military garrison) which gives atmosphere and charm.
The town itself is very friendly and welcoming - the locals are happy to chat to you and it is easy to strike up friendships whilst sitting in the cafe in the souk (market).
There are plenty of grocery shops, cafes and restaurants as well as a large range of shops selling artisan crafts. There is also a post office and bank with bureau de change and ATM. There is a weekly market on Monday, when the souk comes alive with traders from all over the local region.
The house is handily located a few minutes walk from the souk, making it easy to dine out in the evening.
The beaches are easy to walk to, and face west for great sunsets!
The nearest large town is Tiznit (45km, approx 45min drive).
Agadir is about 140km away and it has a good international airport. We can help with taxi bookings and car hire.
