Boat Slip is available at local marina 5 miles away. $30 a day. Mouse Creek cabin
We enjoyed our stay at Moose Creek earlier this week. Had our daughter, son in law and 2 young grand children. Was plenty of room for all of us. Our 4 year old grandson caught his first fish from the pond and watched a muskrat for 2 days going back and forth across the pond building himself a den. Enjoyed a campfire, grilling, fishing and relaxing. Would definitely recommend the cabin for a relaxing peaceful get away.

Nice cabin and setting-great for family privacy,
Need railing on front steps. Grill was broken-no substitute charcoal grill provided. Not notified in time to bring grill from home. Missed grilling our home grown steaks and hamburgers. Cabin was awesome as was the setting. Enjoyed visit in spite of rain, rain and more rain.

Thanks for the review Max. We apologize for the late notice about the grill (we thought the new one would have been in by then) but when we never got a reply back we didn't think it was an issue. We could have definitely worked something out if we knew you planned on using it. Sorry for the miscommunication there! Hopefully we will see you back in the future!

Wonderful Cabin!
Beautiful cabin! We stayed with some friends and had the best time. Minutes away from town, yet location seems very secluded. I can't say enough about the inside- very good condition, clean, and well-built. The layout is perfect for anyone with kids and everyone can have their own space.

Secluded and roomy, perfect getaway
This rental is a real gem. The cabin is exceptionally clean and has high-quality furnishings and cozy fireplace. Great scenery with the large deck overlooking the lake and surrounding mature trees. Plenty of room inside and out for our family of six. It's secluded and peaceful, yet close enough to run to town if needed. Away from city lights you can see the smallest of stars at night and enjoy s'mores by the campfire. Giant HD dish TV on all three floors and wifi. Large open kitchen with everything you need. We had a wonderful time at Moose Cabin and are looking forward to a return visit!

Family Fun!.
This is a wonderful vacation rental.The cabin was picture perfect.Everything you need for your stay is already there. The adults enjoyed the shooting range.The smallest family member to the oldest caught fish in the pond. We enjoyed family time together on the front porch and back deck.We made memories around the campfire. Its the definition of time and money well spent!

Five Star Zen
Hidden on a gorgeous property, only a few miles from town. Every possible amenity is provided (WOW, the master shower!) in a refined "cabin" with a gorgeous view. Whether your stargazing will be done at The Little Theater or in the night sky, Moose Cabin is a perfect getaway. Can't wait for a return visit.

Peaceful, emmaculate, comfortably decorated cabin in the woods!
The rural remote setting near Sullivan, Illinois and Lake Shellbyville was perfect for relaxing day and night. All 6 of us were Impressed by the ammeneties offered and doubly so when we realized it was seamlesslyi solar powered. For those who want wifi and dish network it was there too. Fishing was fun. The night sky was so dark and uninterrupted by light that the star gazing was incredible!! The decor was north woods lodge and very comfortable. The large kitchen and dining area easily held more guests when they arrived. Everything was so clean and arranged with care. I highly recommend a stay at this cabin!!!

About the neighbourhood
Moose Cabin is in a rural setting. Once you travel down our lane making your way onto Hidden Acres you won't see any other houses. We are a secluded cabin and pond making it the perfect getaway with no distractions. When you do want to get out and about though we are very close to Lake Shelbyville that offers lots of water activities.

How to get there
We are close to I-57. You would exit on 192 and follow Country RD 1000N (turns into 800N when you cross Highway 121) west until you reach Country RD 1300E and you will make a right. Go down that road approx 1.8 miles and you will find Moose Cabins lane on your left. Follow the lane and you will come upon Hidden Acres. All of this is listed in your welcome packet along with maps to make it as easy as possible. If you have any trouble finding our cabin please don't hesitate to call us and we will talk you through getting there.
