Walk 1 km the other way along Bayview Street and you will be at the Runaway Bay Shopping Village, with Coles, Woolworths, Aldi, Big W, Target and a raft of food, clothing and specialty shops. Dreamworld and Seaworld theme parks are each around 10 km from Bayview Bay and Warner Bros. Movieworld is only 14 km away. Resort style accommodation with heated pool and spa: Unit 53 is regarded as the best located of the 53 units in the Bayview Bay complex, as it’s end position and height (north end, top floor) affords water views from every aspect. As Unit 53 is located the furthest from Bayview Street, there is absolutely no traffic noise. There is secure underground parking for two small cars, or a car and a boat-trailer. The complex has its own boat ramp. There is an electronic security key-tag system throughout the complex. The apartment is not suitable for children, as the apartment is on the top floor and the owner is concerned for child safety. The Gold Coast is large enough to have all the facilities and features of a large resort city, including huge shopping complexes, theatres, nightclubs, fine dining, art galleries, several world-class golf courses and driving ranges, sporting complexes, an international airport and many live music entertainment venues. But if you are looking for a quieter and more relaxed holiday, the Gold Coast has that too. It has some of the world’s best surfing beaches. If you enjoy fishing you can hit the surf or join a day trip to go deep-sea fishing. There are also plenty of quiet still-water estuary fishing locations. Behind the Gold Coast's celebrated beaches, city skyline and meandering canals, just 35 minutes away is an impressive frame of hinterland mountains capped with sub-tropical rainforests, complete with many hiking tracks. By Queensland law, the maximum letting period for a 'Holiday Letting' is 35 nights. The owner is bound by that legislation, so bookings for longer periods on a single booking must be declined.

I completely respect guest’s privacy, but I am always just a phone call or email away from attending to anything that needs attention If you are looking for a recently refurbished apartment, then this may not be for you. But if you will be comfortable in a fastidiously clean, well equipped and well-maintained older apartment in a perfect location, you will be as happy as ALL our previous guests have been (check out the reviews, you will see that we have never received a negative one).

Economical, Family Friendly, Clean and Secure.
Stayed 8 nights at this 3rd floor apartment. Secure under-building parking with a wee walk up to the third floor apartment. Well equipped apartment: kitchen with all the gear you would expect. Lovely touches, such as providing initial washing powder, dishwash tablets and liquid, toilet paper, milk soap etc. I love it when I don't have to do a late night run to the supermarket as soon as I set foot inside the accommodation. Plenty of room for 4, netted security doors so you can leave the balcony glass doors open and have a nice breeze through. Good internet speed, cafes close by, walk to the beach, and a longer walk to shopping centre. This apartment has everything you need for your stay. If you want swanky and upmarket this isn't it, but if clean, comfortable, and secure are your priorities, book now! The owner Greg is lovely to deal with and super accommodating.

perfect relaxing
we stayed for 3 weeks. absolutely comfortable, clean, quiet, walking distance to Runnaway Bay shopping centre, beach, close proximity to Harbourtown, short driving distance to Pacific Fair, Australia Fair shopping centres, Cavill Road, Movieworld, Wet and Wild,

Quiet and clean
Really enjoyed staying here. Greg was very helpful. The unit was clean and tidy with a beautiful outlook in a nice area. Away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet close to all amenities.

Great place to stay
Chose this apartment partly due to the reviews and was not disappointed! Clean,spacious and quiet whist also being the perfect base for the main amusement parks. In addition Greg was an extremely helpful host. Will stay again next time on the Gold Coast.

As good as all the other reviewers say it is!
Very good and if I were to say anymore I would just be repeating what others have already said! Have to say more due to the 100 word minimum. Greg is a great host who went out of his way to look after us. His description of the local shopping centre was very funny. Dont worry the shops are perfectly OK

Clean, Comfortable and Handy Location
If you are looking for a clean, comfortable and well equipped holiday unit in a quiet location, this could be your answer. An excellent location if heading to any of the worlds as on the northern end of the Gold Coast. Some highlights of this accommodation: owner who is excellent to deal with and promptly replies to communications; two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate toilet to the main bathroom; clean and easy living. If you are looking for 2015 fit out, this is not for you. However, if you are happy for older, but well maintained at an affordable price, your search is over. Please note that access is only via stairs.

Great unit with beautiful views
We were very happy with the unit, so comfortable & clean. Even my 18 year old daughter was impressed. Greg was great to deal with & so helpful, even ringing to ask how our holiday was going a few days later. I would recommend the unit & Greg Marsh to anyone. Pity we only had time to stay for a week as the rates are very reasonable.

Exactly Right in Every Respect
There is little I can add to the previous reviews other than to endorse their comments regarding the apartment, its setting and location. We both really enjoyed our time here and hope to return in the not too distant future. The only thing is that next time I will make sure I have insect repellent with me. The marina attracts tiny biting midgies (rather like mosquitoes) and although they ignored my husband they seemed to enjoy giving me little nips whenever I decided to relax by the swimming pool.

Absolute BEST value on the Gold Coast
Having spent many hours researching the perfect location for a 3 week stay on the Gold Coast, and our first intro to Australia (we're American), I was quite pleased to discover this FIND on Flipkey. Being the owner of a luxury waterfront vacation rental in the states can be a bit of a curse when putting on the "tourist cap'. One unconsciously begins comparing cleanliness, amenities, etc without meaning to. For the money, cleanliness, location, view, etc, you just can't do any better in the Gold Coast area. The icing on the cake is an owner that actually cares about his guests, and was very attentive. We needed high speed wifi for my husband to effectively telecommute (working vacation), and Greg came through with flying colors! This was one of a couple of areas where his assistance was invaluable, and very appreciated. On a side note the birdsong in the mornings we will not soon forget. We already miss it, and long to hear again. Be aware there is no elevator and is 3 flights up, but since fitness and diet tends to slide a bit when on vacation, we were actually glad this was the case. We'll always look for a good excuse to consume more calories :o) TIP: If you're from North America, you may want to bring additional washcloths, as Aussie/European standard we discovered is to supply only either one washcloth per person, or none.

About the neighbourhood
Runaway Bay is away from the 'glitter strip' of Surfers Paradise, so you will experience quiet restful nights. But if you want to party, a 15 minute drive will have you in the thick of it. There is a are large shopping centre within 1 Km walking distance and several coffee shops and eateries within a couple of hundred metres of your apartment. There is also a 7-Eleven convenience store just a block away.
Getting around
There is a bus stop close to the apartment and buses will take you to almost any Gold Coast destination you want. But most guests use their own, or a rental, car.

The apartment is 30 minutes drive from the Gold Coast International Airport and 60 minutes from the capital city of Brisbane and it's international airport. You can get there by car or train. World famous 'Byron Bay' is only a 75 minute drive away and the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef is less than two hours north by plane. A one hour flight south takes you to Sydney.
