Spacious village cottage in South Downs National Park

Sited at the end of a lane Pepper Pot Cottage is the middle section of a Grade II listed building in a beautiful quiet area of the South Downs National Park. There is a shop/ tea room and a pub 70 yards away and a community tennis court and recreation ground in the village.

Next to the cottage is a bridle path. Wonderful walks, cycling routes, welcoming pubs and lovely scenery are all around. The West Sussex Falconry and South Downs Way are nearby. Goodwood for motor car and horse racing, Cowdray Park for polo, Chichester, Portsmouth for HMS Victory and Gun Wharf quay, Fontwell for racing are a short drive away. The beaches at Hayling Island and West Wittering are within easy reach.

The cottage was spacious and comfortable. Wonderful walks with bridleway starting just outside the cottage. Our dog enjoyed exploring new footpaths as did we. Excellent village shop and cafe just down the lane. We visited Uppark House, South Harting Down, West Dean Gardens, Kingley Vale...More

Compton lies in magnificent downlands with superb views and walks all around. Lots of pubs with great food in Compton and nearby downland villages. National Trust Uppark House is 3 miles north of Pepper Pot Cottage; Hinton Ampner approx 20 west. West Dean arts and crafts centre and the South Downs way are close by. Cowdray Park for polo, Goodwood for Glorious Goodwood week and horse and motor racing, the Festival of Speed and the Revival, and Fontwell are a short drive. Historic Portsmouth with HMS Victory and other naval attractions including a second world war submarine and Gun Wharf Quay is a 30 minute drive. The West Sussex Falconry is in Compton.
