Hause Hall's guest comforts are assured with its cast iron open fireplaces,four oven aga, high speed satellite broadband, oak kitchen and modern luxurious bathrooms. The ground floor ensuite bedroom and step free access and solid oak flooring throughout is helpful for improved accessibility at Hause Hall Farm. Logs, kindling and firelighters are provided for the wood burning fire and locally sourced charcoal is also provided for the Weber BBQ. Hot tub hire is available by separate arrangement. Hause Hall is within a short walk of the Howtown Hotel and its Walkers Bar which is open to non residents from April to November and is about one mile up either the country lane or the footpath from the Michelin starred Sharrow Bay Hotel. The Cruik Barn and Stables are not let independently to protect our guests' privacy at Hause Hall Farm. If Hause Hall Farm is already reserved, please consider our other halls, Blencowe Hall and Melmerby Hall which also offer extensive accommodation and may well be available. About the neighbourhood
Hause Hall Farm is located in the Lake District in the hamlet of Martindale. There are a number of public footpaths starting right from the front door of the farm including a fabulous loop over Beda Fell encompassing great views down the length of Ullswater Lake. The c. 20 acre grounds of Hause Hall farm encircle this Grade II listed converted sandstone farmhouse and barns.
Getting around
Hause Hall Farm is located a short drive from Penrith train station which is on the West Coast Main Line, the railway linking London to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh & Glasgow. The nearby villages offer wonderful walks and cycle rides with beautiful scenery. Ullswater ‘Steamers’ is an award winning environmentally accredited Lake District attraction celebrating over 150 years of operating cruises on England’s most beautiful lake. Operating one of the largest heritage vessel fleets in the world, offering visitors an experience they will never forget for 363 days a year. Cruises connect to some of the most famous and iconic walking routes in the National Park, with views of Wordsworth's Daffodils on the west shore in Spring.
