2 Bedrooms , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 6
Heptonstall, West Yorkshire, England
The Barn is situated in Heptonstall, a beautiful hill top village situated in the heart of Calderdale, West Yorkshire, just above the popular, bustling town of Hebden Bridge. The village has 2 pubs, a cafe, a post office/general store, a small museum and a small playground and bowling club.

The cottage sleeps 2 adults and 2 children (plus an additional sofa bed for 2 adults for short stay) and has full gas central heating as well as a multi-fuel burning stove (logs and kindling provided). It is a brand new conversion completed to the highest standards with a fully fitted kitchen and bathroom.

Bicycle storage is available in an adjoining outhouse and there is free parking on site - a rarity in the centre of the village. For the non-drivers, a regular bus service runs between Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge train station.

Interaction with guests
We live in the adjoining property. Whenever possible I try to be on site to meet new arrivals but this isn't always possible. We leave guests to themselves once they have checked in but are happy for guests to knock with any queries that we can help with during the stay if required.

The accomodation was lovely and in a great location. We are planning a trip to the area in August and would have returned here had the dates been free.

Heptonstall is a quiet village with enough amenities for those looking for a romantic break away from it all or for people looking to enjoy the stunning scenery right on our doorstep. Perfect for dogs, walking & cycling.

The vibrant town of Hebden Bridge is just at the bottom of the hill and offers a lively daytime shopping scene and a vibrant nightlife with bars, restaurants and pubs.

Regular buses run 7 days a week between Heptonstall and Hebden Bridge which is only a short walk down hill.

In Summer there is a direct weekend bus service to Hardcastle Crags National Trust which is less than a mile away.

How to get there
Railway: Hebden Bridge: 2.0 km
The Barn is easily accessed by car, or by public transport.

By car - Postcode is HX7 7NY on Townfield Lane. Use this to get to Heptonstall but once in the village ignore Sat Nav as it will try to send you a pedestrian route. I will send specific directions a week before your arrival.

Public transport - Train to Hebden Bridge and then # 596 bus alighting on Smithwell Lane (200 yds from the property).
