Pictures don’t do it justice
Relaxing, comfortable, everything we needed. What a great way to escape quarantine life and forget about Covid for a while. Loved the dock and watching the sunset. Kitchen was great to cook in.

Serene lake life
The small town location and lake views create a feeling of a far away retreat. The home is well designed inside and out and provides all conveniences and accommodations. Highly recommend

Pristine property for a perfect friend or family getaway
Trip was a guys weekend for a football game in Gainesville. Location was perfect for 4 guys in late 30’s. We taxi or Ubered into town (fair warning either have a dd or taxi lined up as Uber service is not abundant here). But it was only a 25 minute ride which on a guys trip feels more like 5 minutes.
The property itself is positioned in Melrose which is a small town in a beautiful lake. Melrose seems to be one of the last towns in fl that hasn’t been overrun with tourists and overdeveloped. It’s like a refreshing step back in time and lends easily to a secluded, safe and slower pace of getaway. But you really don’t need to leave the property since it has a lake, a pool and lots of space inside. The pictures on vrbo are spot on for the property which was such a surprise. The owners clearly have an eye for detail and have cut no corners in making this place a first class getaway. Both inside and out this place is pristine and is perfect for those friends and family that appreciate the finer things.
Booking was easy and straightforward. After I requested the date, Tara confirmed within hours and provided everything we needed to have a successful stay. The place had all bedding and towels well stocked and plenty of shatterproof cups for the pool area which you will find yourself drawn to.
Checking out was super easy and I’ll admit it was a little tough to leave the property...I can’t say that about many places.
We are already talking about returning in 2 years when football brings us back in the area. This place was a home run booking, especially from a $ standpoint as we split it four ways. We may not have won the game that weekend but I won superhero status with my friends who continually asked me “So how did you find this place again?”
