This listing features a 2BR/1BA cozy condominium in the heart of Destin within a secure and friendly gated community. It is exquisitely located across the street from the beach, next to Big Kahuna’s and The Track, within a few miles from destinations like Destin Commons and Harbor Walk, and near various restaurants such as Chick-fil-A, Shake’s Frozen Custard, Merlin’s Pizza, and Destin’s famous Back Porch. This condo offers everything you could need for a low-cost getaway to the Emerald Coast.

Please reduce your volume after 10 p.m. No Cats allowed in the unit. Dogs may be allowed, but there are pet rules that you must know about before booking. Just message and we will go over them. When you check out, make sure all trash is removed, your fridge is cleaned out, and that you haven't left any food or dirty dishes laid around. The cleaning fee covers basic cleaning (dusting, mopping, linens, etc.). We ask you treat our home with the same respect you would treat a dear friend's home.

Great Option to Visit the Beach on a Budget
This condo was wonderful: a little cozy for 6, but clean, comfortable and well-maintained with several nice updates. It also was well-stocked with linens, toilet paper and other useful items, including some beach chairs, beach umbrellas, and a few board games in case of a rainy day. The kitchen was well-equipped to handle our meal prep, right down to a well-supplied spice rack (this little surprise made the cooks in our group very happy). The living room and both bedrooms had large flat screen TVs with cable, though we stayed so busy we barely used them. Jeff and Gladys are wonderful hosts, and go out of their way to make their guests feel at home. They even stocked the fridge with bottled water and soft drinks before we arrived, and had snacks, coffee and other treats on hand as well.
I wish I could be as excited about the complex itself. To be honest, it is a little dated, but we did note that there were several units that appeared to be undergoing renovation at the time of our stay. On the plus side, it is centrally located to many of Destin's main attractions and fairly quiet, especially so considering we were only one block off the town's main thoroughfare. It is close to a local airport, but thanks to nearby Eglin AFB there are few places in Destin where one can get away from the sound of jet engines, so that was not a big issue for us. Actually, we enjoyed one afternoon plane watching while by the pool.
Even though the buildings were older and in need of some updates, all the walkways and sidewalks were well-lit, clear and swept clean, and at no time did we feel unsafe.
The condo is close to two of the complex's three pools, and directly across from the tennis courts (Jeff and Gladys even supplied rackets and balls).
The condo is less than a mile from one of Destin's public beach access points, but that particular beach area is small and at the time of our visit was hard to get to due to road construction. Our advice would be to drive a couple of minutes further east and pay the small entry fee for Henderson Beach State Park, where the beach is much roomier and not as crowded. BTW- Jeff & Gladys stock the condo with plenty of maps, brochures and even some personal recommendations for places to check out in Destin.
In short, if you are on a budget and you're looking for a safe, comfortable place to call home base while you explore all that Destin has to offer, this condo definitely is an option to look into. On the other hand, if you are planning to spend a lot of time lounging around the complex you might not be satisfied with this location. We enjoyed our stay, and will keep this unit in mind the next time we plan a trip to Destin.

Great condo
The condo was nice and clean and even stocked with Coke and water and everything you need for a short stay! We really enjoyed our time there. We were close to everything.

Spring Break Vacay
Very lovely condo. Awesome hospitality! There were a couple issues however owner worked swiftly to resolve issues.

Pet friendly beach condo.
The condo was clean, and easy to vacation in. Our visit was 30 days long. The condo is exactly as the owner described it. This is a great family and pet friendly condo and neighborhood. We highly recommend this condo. We'll visit again.

It's a really nice place and we really enjoyed ourselves. Great location...not far from the beach, the track, shopping and pizza a block away. Jeff really cares about his guests. We've never rented a condo before and were pleasantly suprised with his provided beach gear, bikes, board games, etc. When we arrived we were greated with snacks, orange juice in fridge and everything we needed for coffee. We would gladly stay again!

Fabulous, dog-friendly condo close to the beach
I stayed there with a group of friends and we had a fabulous time. Even our dogs loved it as there was plenty of space for them to exercise within the condo grounds, the beach was just a few minutes away and there was even a dedicated dog park closeby where they could meet new four legged friends. The hosts, Gladys and Jeff, are very helpful, and gave us a lot of good advise on what to do and where to eat. As the kitchen was well equipped, we were also able to eat in quite often. Although we had a car, we walked virtually everywhere as the weather was perfect and everything, including the beach, was within easy reach. Plus it was good exercise to stave off a few extra pounds from all the fresh good we were all consuming.
