great home to enjoy a beautiful and quiet vacation
it truly was a wonderful and relaxing vacation. the house was located in a beautiful neighborhood and was very quiet and peaceful. The house was situated backing up to a canal and it was also great weather while vacationing.

Back again! It doesn't get any better!
This was our fourth stay at ann & Ed's villia. Will we be back... Definitely!! We have visited the house twice in the winter months (December) and in the sizzling hot summer (June/July) and every time we go we never want to leave, the kids actually cry! (we have 4 kids all under the age of 9) The house has ample space for our family, very clean, and we felt at home as soon as we opened the front door, we knew we were home away from home. Having two living rooms is a plus as our kids hang out in one room leaving the second one for the adults. There are plenty of activities provided right at the house. The heated salt pool was a huge hit for our kids. They have board games, very large flat screen Tv's a Playsatation 3 (with games and movies) and wireless internet, magazines (subscriptions left from other guests that return each year), fishing poles and fish right off their docks. The house is close to shopping, dining, beaches and family entertainment. Ann even includes various guides and coupons to local restaurants. Furthermore, the villa represented amazing value, considering the sorts of prices for an equivalent property on the Mediterranean. This villa was spotless from top to bottom kitchenware, kettles, microwaves, etc are all spotless from top to bottom. The only drawback was that we had to leave... but that's okay we book every year! Thank you ann & Ed for making this our 2nd home.

Exceeded our expectations!
We chose this home based on the great reviews and were not disappointed! The house was in excellent condition, very clean and tastefully decorated. It easily accommodated our four small children and had everything we needed to feel at home.
We swam in the heated pool nearly every day and ate most of our meals on the lanai. It was wonderful to open the five sliding doors and be able to watch the kids swim from just about anywhere in the house. The neighborhood was quiet and is conveniently located to the grocery and other shopping areas. It is an easy drive to both of the beautiful beaches at Sanibel and Ft. Myers.
Thank you for providing a wonderful place for our family vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are already planning our next trip to abilene Villa!

Beautiful Pool Home on the Canal
This was our 2nd year at this spacious, well furnished vacation home. The salt water pool is preset at a very comfortable temperature, which we enjoyed on a daily basis. The location is perfect. Close to shopping, restaurants and a short drive to beach. The owners are very thoughtful and have provided all the amenities of home. The gas barbecue and large dining table located on the lanai makes meals and entertaining pleasant and easy.
It is a pleasure to visit and we can't wait to get back again next year.

One of the best in 15 Years of renting!
Thank you very much for letting us use your home for our vacation. We really enjoyed ourselves.
The house was very clean. Your directions were very thorough and complete. The setting was just great and we enjoyed sitting by the canal as well as in the lanai.
The bed was comfortable and the house was very spacious. We have rented vacation homes for the past 15 years and yours was one of the very best.
Thank you,
Beth and Chris

R&R; par excellence
We are two mature couples just ending a two month stay at this lovely home. It was exactly as advertised with no unwelcome surprises. We loved the open design, the large heated salt water pool and the big screen TVs. We spent most of our time out of doors on the covered patio and the lanai, just watching the world go by. The neighborhood was quiet, friendly and safe and close to shopping, gorgeous beaches and the SW International airport. Any household problems were quickly rectified by the attentive home owners.
We are already booked for next year! Awesome property!

Do we have to leave already?
This was the 2nd time our family of 6 (4 children ages: 7, 4, 2, 2) have rented in Cape Coral.
We stayed for two weeks and the entire family had an amazing time. The online pictures of the home are very well done and the place will exceed your expectations once you arrive. The kids and adults all loved the layout of the house and how the large glass sliding doors opened up right across all the living spaces into the Lanai / pool & outdoor eating area so you felt like you were outdoors even when inside. The bedrooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. The kitchen has all of the conveniences of home making it easy and enjoyable when preparing meals. We ate breakfast and dinner outside on the patio everyday where we could watch the children swimming and the occasional boater passing along the canal. Everything is immaculate & well maintained. The house is situated in a quiet residential area backing onto a lovely canal. There are fruit trees on the property and we enjoyed fresh bananas and mangoes that we picked ripe. Eating does not get any better! The entire home is tiled throughout which we found to be very nice. The saltwater pool was a blast for our family. Life jackets were provided for the children, wonderful idea, like the toys and video games available. The nearest beach is only a 5 minute drive away, as are the nearest grocery and departments stores. Plenty of great restaurants in Cape Coral and surrounding area. Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel Island are also nearby.
We have already book our next stay. Thank You!

About the neighbourhood
This house is ideally located in Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast, which has a laid back lifestyle and is world famous for its Golfing, Fishing, and Beaches, including two of the world’s top-rated beaches. At 160,000 permanent residents (and roughly 300,000 with seasonal residents and tourists), Cape Coral is the largest city in the SW Gulf region. It is the world’s largest canal city, with a network of both fresh and salt water canals. It offers a variety of dining options and shopping opportunities. You will find most of them along Del Prado Blvd., Pine Island Road, and Cape Coral Pkwy. Some of Cape Coral's kid-friendly attractions include Sunsplash Family Waterpark, Greenwell's Family Fun Park, and the Eagle Skate Park. Nature lovers will enjoy the Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve and the The Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail, a 190-mile marked canoe and kayak trail that meanders through Lee County’s coastal waters and inland tributaries.
Just across the river is the twin city of Fort Myers, the "City of Palms". It features numerous shopping, dining, and entertainment areas from high-end outlet centers, boutiques, and outdoor malls, to antique stores, and flea markets. Popular attractions include the Henry Ford and Thomas Edison Winter Homes, Broadway Palm Dinner Theater, Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall, the Imaginarium Children’s Museum, and several mini-golf courses.
Fort Myers Beach, on Estero Island, is a must-see attraction, and is considered the world’s most child-friendly salt-water beach due to its gentle slope and low undertow. The many miles long beach has both active and quiet areas and includes rentals for boating, jetskiing, fishing, para-sailing, banana boats, pirate ship tours, and more. The town of Fort Myers Beach stretches all along the beach and provides easy access to plenty of shopping and dining, with fresh seafood, straight out of the Gulf of Mexico.
Two of the other barrier islands, Sanibel Island and Captiva Island, offer a more laid back beach experience with miles of easily accessible natural beaches. The beaches of Sanibel are considered the world’s #1 beach for shell collecting. The town of Sanibel Beach is a very quaint town of boutiques, antique stores, and restaurants. The retreat of Captiva Island is home to the rich and famous with numerous estates spread along the beach road.
Just 5 minutes from the house is Cape Coral’s own local beach with a playground, casual beach-side dining and a long fishing pier.
In addition to its beaches, SW Florida is renowned for golfing and fishing. There are scores of golf courses in the region ranging from easy Par 3s to world caliber courses. There are numerous fishing charter options to the Gulf of Mexico, from rent-your-own for the experienced fisherman, to fully assisted charters suitable for the beginner. You can rent a boat by the day or week and park it at our dock, with easy access down the main San Carlos Canal to the Gulf. Also nearby are everglade tours and alligator and manatee preserves.
With so much to see and do, it will be a challenge to find time to sit back and just relax by the pool deck, adjusting to the relaxed pace of the SW Gulf lifestyle.
