Fantastic flat
A group of 5 of us stayed at Heaven above the Haven in Millport. Booked through holiday lettings, it was easy to keep track of our booking and contact the owners. The flat is spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a fabulous location. Liz and Doug made us feel very welcome and left us a welcome gift from a local sweet shop. They have provided everything visitors could need, including books, games, tea and coffee, soap, towels and bedding and plenty of crockery. The views across Kames Bay are spectacular, even in the rain. We were lucky with the weather and also took advantage of the lovely patio area set aside for guests in the back garden. The 6 single beds were ideal for our group of friends. This property is great value for money and I would highly recommend it. We are already thinking about booking again in the future.

Ideal Location in Millport
The location was ideal for our 4 grandchildren who could walk into Millport. The beach is just two minutes walk or seconds if the rocks are your thing. The accommodation is very appropriate for a family holiday and Liz and her family made us very welcome, with special thanks to Luke for being so good with the children.

Holiday Let July 2022
Ideal holiday for all the family. Stunning views, perfect location to walk to Kames beach for paddleboarding/Kayak. Friendly welcoming owners, available to help out at any point. Clean, well equipped upper floor flat with 2 bathrooms, dishwasher and washing machine definitely a bonus! Great memories made at relaxing, feel good Millport :-)

Perfect
We have just had the most amazing stay and I cannot rate highly enough. Liz has thought of everything to make this a home away from home. The apartment comfortably sleeps 6 and the kitchen has everything you could want. The location is perfect with the most wonderful views that seem to change every 10 minutes depending on the weather!

Just what we all needed, a little slice of heaven, peace & quiet. Stunning accommodation, had everything we needed and more, the views are wonderful & I could have sat forever looking out of the window. Parked the car & never moved it all week, we walked, swam & enjoyed everything Millport had to offer so much so we have already booked for next year, it’s a place to recharge your batteries.

Great accomodation. Everything you need . Clean comfortable and owners were very helpful. Millport is a great place for a weekend away.

A stay in heaven right enough
Heaven In Millport - for those wondering where us FaBi boys recently stayed for our self isolated crafting holiday with Dad & Lorna - it was at the heaven above the Haven in Millport (isle of Cumbrae Scotland) And we cannot express enough how fantastic this apartment was.. we stayed for a socially distanced week on the island beginning of August and Doug & Kirsty do not only have the most homely, well equipped, gorgeous home from home but adhered to all covid guidelines and restrictions as needed without grumble or trouble The flat is spacious, modern and there is nothing you could need that is not provided!! The view is worth the booking alone and it’s perfectly situated to allow every pleasure that millport has to offer but with the added element of being just far enough away from the huddle and bussle to give us our own private paradise Our family has holidayed on millport annually for over 40yrs - this has been hands down the best apartment we’ve stayed in and can’t wait to be back again!! - please if your considering visiting the island give this property serious consideration!!

Great place to stay
The perfect location with a fantastic view. Lovely house with plenty of space and comfy to relax in when the weather isn’t sunny. Would definitely book again.

Great base to see the island
A great flat with spectacular views of Arran, with the main shops and attractions a short walk across the bay. Liz was really helpful in making this a memorable trip for a group of old friends. The place itself was spotless and well equipped. If you’re looking for a place with plenty of beds and wining views, you won’t get much better than this in Millport!

About the neighbourhood
The Isle of Cumbrae is an unspoilt island of just over 10 miles circumference. Cycling is the ‘national sport’ with cheap bike hire readily available. Walkers are also well catered for with stunning views and no challenging terrain.
Getting around
Cars can be brought on to the island, but are not necessary. Many people cycle or walk and a regular bus service runs between the town pier and ferry slip

Millport is accessed via an eight minute ferry ride from Largs on the mainland and is less than an hour from Glasgow. Train services from Glasgow Central and Paisley (for Glasgow Airport) serve Largs at least once per hour.
