This comfortable, historic cabin on Columbine Lake is located approximately two hours from Denver. Columbine Lake is a natural glacial lake between the town of Grand Lake and the west entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). The cabin was originally constructed as a fishing cabin in the late 1800’s and expanded to create a two bedroom, one bath getaway. It features an original stone fireplace in the living room and master bedroom of chinked log construction. The cabin sleeps four comfortably with room for six using a pullout couch. Bedrooms are located at opposite ends of the cabin allowing for privacy. One bedroom has a queen bed while the other has a full size bed. We loved this cozy and rustic cabin. Amenities were well equipped and it was a great place to relax and recharge.

Railway: Granby, CO: 20.0 km
TRAIL RIDGE ROAD through ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK is CLOSED in the winter! The road may open by Memorial Day weekend, however, be sure and check. If you go through Estes Park and Trail Ridge is closed, it will take at least an additional hour to get to the cabin.

The address is 1384 Columbine Dr., Grand Lake, CO 80447. It is easy to find using a GPS. The basic directions are: I70 to Hwy 40. Hwy 40 is twelve miles west of Idaho Springs. Head to Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP) and Winter Park. At Granby, turn north or right toward Grand Lake and RMNP. Go past the Grand Lake turnoff and continue about 1/2 mile. Turn at the second left which is County Road 49. Take the first left (about 1/2 mile) and drop into the Columbine Lake neighb
