Muirlands is a 3 bedroom home, however, the third bedroom sleeps up to 5 kids in beds. This home is a families delight - spacious living, a canyon garden to explore and within walking distance to both the Village shops and Beach. Arriving at Muirlands, park in the driveway or garage and walk up the path through the landscaped garden to the front door. Inside is a spacious living room with HD Big Screen TV, Cable, picture windows and complete with a piano. The dining area is attached to the open, fully equipped kitchen. There is seating for 10 around both tables and the kitchen is newly remodeled with modern appliances. The children's room also has great ocean views. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a walk in shower that serves the guest room and the children's room. The second bathroom has a tub/shower combo for the master bedroom. A very large back patio with dining table and chairs for al fresco dining. The garage houses the washer and dryer along with beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella and beach towels. There is room for one large car or SUV. Muirlands is located in a quiet residential neighborhood on the outskirts of The Village of La Jolla. It is an easy walk into all the main shops, restaurants and boutiques that line Girard Ave and Prospect St. The closest beach is Windansea – just 4 blocks walk and the local, Olympic size public pool is a block from the house. Visit The Contemporary Museum of Art, The Comedy Club, La Jolla Rec Centre and visit the seals – all a short walk from the house. Jump on the freeway for Seaworld, The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Downtown Gas Lamp District, Petco Park, Legoland, The Safari Park, Old Town and many other treats San Diego has to offer. *CONSTRUCTION NOTICE* Please note that the neighboring lot tis currently under construction. Unfortunately, we do not know the schedule or timeline of the project. Without knowing the schedule of the project, we have no way to know what will be happening during your rental dates. Contractors are not required to provide schedules, so we are unable to obtain this information. Depending on what part of the project is happening, there may be no inconvenience whatsoever. THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: No Smoking is allowed inside any of our properties. You are welcome to smoke in outside areas of the home. This home is located in a quiet neighborhood and is only suitable for quieter groups. Our rental agreement includes a no tolerance policy regarding excessive noise, occupancy and/or parties. Deposit forfeitures and/or evictions are strictly enforced. The home sits behind a Middle School, so during school days you will hear school bells and kids playing For homes that allow pets there are certain rules that always apply. Pets are never to be left alone in the homes unattended. If you plan to spend time away from your pet please find a doggy daycare. You can call our office for recommendations. There will be a $25/night pet fee for any pets Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting with La Jolla Vacation Rentals. We really enjoyed the house. The communication was excellent - they even sent us coupons to use during our stay. The house was conveniently located to everything in La Jolla and San Diego. There a problem keeping an internet connection but other than that the...More

We loved staying in this home!. It was spacious, but also cozy. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had a lot of closet/storage space for our clothes and bags. Also, there is a door to the outside in the "kids" room. The two bathrooms...More

La Jolla Shores' picturesque sandy beach runs north from La Jolla Cove and offers great snorkeling and scuba diving. Known for its galleries, shops, restaurants and the highly scenic coastline, La Jolla is also home to branch of the Museum of Contemporary Art of San Diego. To the north of La Jolla is Torrey Pines, home to the Torrey Pines Golf Course, one of the nation's finest public golf courses and the site of the Farmers Insurance Open in late January or early February. Located around the course is the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, which offers paths and rock outcroppings to hike on as you make your way to pristine and often empty beaches.
