We welcome you to Samhach, a one bedroom self contained holiday apartment in Gorthleck, a small village on the north shore of Loch Mhor near Loch Ness in Inverness-shire in the Scottish Highlands.

Samhach is approximately 2 miles from Loch Ness, 10 miles from Fort Augustus and 20 miles from the vibrant City of Inverness which has a busy local airport with both easyJet and Flybe flying there from various destinations.

About the neighbourhood
We are situated 5 miles from Foyers where the Falls of Foyers can be found, this is a spectacular 140 foot waterfall in which the River Foyers drops down toward Loch Ness, here you will also find a village shop and café with a post office.
Also in Foyers is The Craigdarroch Hotel which has a bar which serves great food and had spectacular views over Loch Ness .

Another pub/restaurant is the Whitebridge Hotel situated in the village of Whitebridge, approximately 4 miles away.
The name Whitebridge comes from the bridge over the River Fechlin, constructed in 1732. This was built by General Wade as part of a military road in an attempt to suppress further Jacobite risings.

EasyJet have flights to Inverness from Gatwick, Luton and Bristol and Flybe have flights from Gatwick, Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester and Amsterdam. Loganair operate flights from Stornoway, Kirkwall and Sumburgh.
The airport is approximately 6 miles east of Inverness and there are various hire car companies based in and around the terminal.
