About the neighbourhood
Jedburgh is famous for its 12c Augustinian Abbey, as well as a Howard Reform Prison (Jedburgh Castle Jail) and Queen Mary's House, as well as a 18 hole golf course. There are also some great restaurants (Capon Tree, Carters Rest) and a number of great independent retailers selling everything from handmade gifts to quality local meat. Jedburgh hosts rugby sevens in May (rugby ground within walking distance of the cottage) and its local festival in early July.
