Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain’s best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam. Town: Jedburgh is a small, quiet town lying 10 miles inside the Scottish Border, situated halfway between Newcastle upon Tyne and Edinburgh. There are shops, pubs and award-winning, family-run restaurants to enjoy nearby, as well as historic attractions such as the Jedburgh Castle Jail, Mary Queen of Scots House and the imposing abbey, which towers over the town and dates back to 1138. Great fishing can be enjoyed on the Teviot, Tweed and Jed Rivers and there are 21 excellent golf courses to choose from. The Borders also offer some walking and cycling over hillsides or amongst the Border Forests. The towns of Melrose, Kelso and Peebles are just a short drive away and are a joy to explore at leisure.More

This was a very nice place to stay - the amenities were easy to use, the location with regards to the Castle and the town is fantastic as they're so close. I would very much recommend staying here, we will definitely come back!
