This charming property, arranged over three floors, has an abundance of character features, including an open fireplace made out of Bath stone, original oak beams, and ledge and brace wooden doors. The character is complemented by modern touches, including wireless internet access, a Freeview TV with Blu-ray/DVD player, and a well presented kitchen. Fox Cottage sleeps six people, in three bedrooms, with a family bathroom and a ground floor cloakroom. There is a west-facing garden, which is perfect for al fresco dining, and on street parking is readily available. Fox Cottage is perfect for a family or a group of friends looking for a peaceful base from which to explore the Cotswolds. House Rules Security deposits A security deposit of £175 is payable, which is returned after the letting period, subject to an inspection of the property. The security deposit is payable prior to arrival at the property, via a bank transfer or a valid debit or credit card. Occupancy The maximum occupancy of the property is six guests, at any point during your stay. Unauthorised over occupancy is a breach of our terms and conditions and may result in the cancellation of your booking and additional charges. Please consult us prior to booking if you wish to discuss the possibility of having more than six guests at the property. Infants who sleep in a cot do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions, the occupancy figure may only be exceeded by up to two additional infants. Pets Regrettably, pets are not accepted. Bed sizes and configurations Master Bedroom (second floor): King size bed Bedroom 2 (first floor): Double bed Bedroom 3 (first floor): 2 x single beds Bathrooms Family bathroom (first floor): Bath, separate walk-in shower, toilet and wash basin Ground floor cloakroom: Toilet and wash basin Heating, fuel and logs The property has a gas central heating system. Electricity and gas are included in the rental price. An initial basket of logs is provided for the open fire and further log supplies can be purchased locally. Parking One on street parking space is available immediately outside the cottage. Further free on street parking is readily available close to the cottage and throughout the village. Child friendly facilities A travel cot (with linen) and high chair are provided. There is space for the travel cot in the Master bedroom on the second floor or the twin bedroom on the first floor. Please note that infants will need to be supervised in the Master bedroom as there is no door at the top of the stairs. The property’s garden is enclosed, however please see the Right of Way note below. Accessibility, health and safety This is a period property and has many character features, including low beams and eaves, three floors, and a step up from the sitting room to the kitchen, which could pose difficulty to guests with limited mobility, or carrying babies, both in terms of their general movement and their ability to quickly exit the house in the event of an emergency. The door to the Master bedroom is at the bottom of the stairs and the staircase opens directly into the bedroom. Guests should also be aware that the ceiling height is low on this staircase and guests over approximately 165cm will need to bend their head to get up and down these stairs. The smoke and CO detectors operate on a sound only basis and, therefore, those who have serious impairment of hearing may not be able to hear the alarm systems and could be at risk. Right of Way The property’s garden is enclosed; however, the neighbouring property has a right of access through this garden, which could result in the gate not being closed properly. The cottage was newly renovated, spotlessly clean. WiFi worked always. Kitchen was perfectly stuffed with a little welcome package. As might be expected in an original cottage the ceilings are quite low and the stairs quite steep especially to the attic. The bathroom was good...More

About the neighbourhood
The Cotswolds are characterised by attractive small towns and villages, built of the underlying Cotswold stone (a yellow oolitic limestone). In the Middle Ages the wool trade made the Cotswolds prosperous and some of this money was put into the building of churches, leaving the area with a number of large handsome Cotswold stone 'wool churches'. The area remains affluent, which has encouraged the establishment of many high quality pubs, restaurants and antique shops.
