Holiday Rental House
Abernant Barn has been beautifully renovated from a 100 year old stable block into a luxurious holiday home / cottage in the heart of Wales. Wonderfully secluded and set in 8 acres of private pasture, bordered by the River Irfon on one side and the Nant Cerdin on the other. The property includes fishing rights on the banks of the Irfon which runs only metres from the property. The accommodation includes underfloor heating throughout and large lounge with a wood burning stove for those cosy evenings. Outside an under cover decked area with sunken hot tub provides space to relax and BBQ whatever the weather. The village of Llanwrtyd Wells, the smallest town in Britain is only a 10 minute walk away and is well served by three pubs and a local store/garage. About the neighbourhood
For the more restful visitor the mountains, valleys and surrounding villages can be explored by car or using the Heart of Wales railway line. There are many old Roman roads, ancient standing stones, tiny chapels and churches to discover as well as small market towns and local farmers markets.
Getting around
Next nearest towns are Builth Wells to the north and Llandovery to the south, both about 20 minutes by car or both accessible by train from Llanwrtyd on the heart of Wales line.
