We booked this lovely cottage because of the setting and because it was a traditional old cottage. We enjoyed our stay but the overall cleanliness was disappointing. Also the cold water pressure was very low so we couldn’t really bath or shower

We were meant to stay for a week, but stayed one night, emailed the landlady at 6.30am to say we were leaving, we found the property unacceptable, eg H&S issues, vermin, cleanliness standards, broken windows. To this end, she refunded part of what we had paid, we contact VRBO customer services, who were excellent in dealing with us, and we got a full refund.

Not the expected relaxing break

Booked Cwmllan for 7 nights from 25th May 2024, arrived tired after long journey to find the cottage dirty, Health and Safety risks, mice, broken windows (one in upstairs sleeping area extremely dangerous) generally in a bad state of repair, and absolutely sure it could not have passed for HSE certs. If we had known there was a mice issue alone, we would not have booked, as mice droppings in property. We don't mind quirky, however stairs (ladder) for example not shown in photos, not easy to get up and down. We requested and got a full refund.

Cywllan was perfect for my requirements; quiet, peaceful and close to all amenities. Coast path close by; plenty of lovely places for walking,swimming and cycling (those hills though!).
