Tisbury, Wiltshire, England
Hidden away in the tiny, Wiltshire hilltop hamlet of Barker's Hill, near Semley and overlooking a wide, rolling landscape, Clematis Cottage has a very welcoming air, and the superb views from the back of the house offer a tantalising glimpse of the attractions of the area including Old Wardour Castle, visible in the distance.

Dating from the early 17th century with a 20th century extension, Clematis Cottage combines a sense of age and history with modern amenities and a feeling of space and light. Sliding glass doors from the main sitting room and the large kitchen provide access to the back garden with its spectacular views; and upstairs the bedrooms are light and attractive, one of the two doubles being particularly spacious.

Our stay at clematis cottage was idyllic. The area is beautiful and our views across the valley were spectacular. The cottage had ample room for our family of five and included everything we needed to entertain my parents for dinner. The dishwasher, microwave and brand new washing machine made life easy for Mum too! We had a wonderful time exploring...

This is truly a home from home. Idyllic location for peace and quiet while still in easy reach of some amazing places. The cottage had everything you have at home. Spotlessly clean, comfortable and cosy. The scenery from the back garden is magnificent and, had the weather been kinder, we would have sat out there for hours.
