Nearby, you'll find quaint Cornish pubs, like The Falcon and The Cornish Arms (run by Rick Stein). As well as fine dining at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen at Watergate Bay and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant in Padstow. Padstow is in fact just five miles away and has pubs, shops, restaurants and its beautiful bay and estuary. Hiring bikes to cycle The Camel Estuary is well worth doing. Just across the road from Skiber An Hyli is a dramatic headland walk, with a secluded beach called Diggory. The nearest beach is Pothcothan, 1 mile away, which is ideal for families with its sandy stretch to the sea. Very sorry but no smokers and no pets. Currently no wifi.

Tranquil and relaxing setting
Lovely converted barn, located close to several local villages (Padstow, St Merryn, Morgan Porth) and close to some great nearby coastal walks. Very good amenities in and outside the house (and a great selection of games!) and the the four of us (2 adults and 2 teenagers) were very comfortable. Bedrooms are not massive (but are adequate) and the downstairs living/dining area is very open and spacious. Also, we received very quick responses from the owner (Lee) to a couple of questions we had.

Quiet location
Good location for visiting surrounding area. Clean , modern decorated, spacious barn conversion. Only thing that could do with replacing is pillows all very well worn didn't help for a good night's sleep. Quilt cover in double bedroom clean but tired. Otherwise well kitted out kitchen , lovely outdoor space .

The perfect holiday barn- lovely place and fantastic location
We’ve just returned home from a weeks stay. The barn is spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and very well equipped. There is a lovely costal walk just opposite, and Padstow, Watergate Bay and Newquay are all within a short drive away. We also discovered the most amazing beach just 10 minutes drive away-Treyarnon Bay, really worth a visit. Overall a fantastic holiday and we hope to return again soon :)

Ideal base from which to explore this beautiful part of Cornwall
The cottage was clean, well equipped and comfortable. There was a great outdoor space for kiddies. Parking is next to the cottage and the location is very quiet. Lovely walks and beaches in close proximity. I would recommend this cottage as an ideal base for exploring this part of Cornwall.

Lovely cottage conveniently located between Newquay & Padstow
Lovely cottage, well equipped and nicely decorated. Owners of the farmhouse were very welcoming and helpful. About a mile walk to Porthcothan beach, or Bedruthan Steps, and a 5 minute drive to Mawgan Porth. 20 minutes to either Padstow or Newquay, depending on traffic.

Comfy barn conversion
Close to Padstow and with some great walks on the doorstep, this is a semi-detached barn conversion done to a good standard. Comfy with all the amenities you'd need (well, unless a mobile signal is important to you!). The main bedroom is a tad small and we used the second twin room to keep our clothes. Not sure how a family of four would cope. The only big minus for us was the road. It's a b-road between Padstow and Newquay and it does get fairly busy (so noisy) at times.

Thank you for your comments, regret the mobile signal is poor as it is in many parts of Cornwall. The road is busier in the high season but thankfully quiet for the rest of the year.

Cornish retreat
Beautiful, spotless, converted barn with all the crockery and household items you could need. Arrived to find home made flapjacks, milk and tea to welcome us, which was thoughtful. Pretty little low maintenance cottage garden. A 15 minute walk across the road and field took us to a stunning cliff top view and the location is ideally suited for Newquay, Padstow and other villages. No phone signal for cottage or a mile or 2 around it due to remoteness, and no internet either...problem or blessing is a personal opinion! A huge information file is in the cottage, which is really helpful and the owner, Lee was spot on with communication and info from the minute we booked. We had a lovely, chilled break with good friends.

Perfect, Quiet, Exceptionally Clean with Beaches on your Doorstop - Loved it!!
We've just returned from a weekend break and would highly recommend this barn. It has everything you need and truly does give you a home from home experience. With Padstow only a 10 minute car journey away and the most beautiful beaches within a 5 minute walk we couldn't of been happier. Martin met us at the rental and give us some handy hints and tips which were very useful during our stay. After a long journey from South Wales we were given homemade flapjacks and milk upon arrival (what a lovely gesture). We purposely booked this rental due to its location and facilities as we wanted somewhere to recharge our batteries so to speak. If you need wifi and mobile signal then this rental wouldn't be for you, we knew ahead of booking the signal was poor in the area so this didn't bother us at all. If you do need a signal, you could obtain one by walking up the hill a little (no more than a 3 minute walk). We have just arrived home and feel rather sad to of left such a wonderful part of the country but we will definetely be going back later this year...... A big thank you to all involved at the rental, the booking process wqs very easy and the hospitality was amazing. We loved every minute of it and hope to see you again soon. Keep up the good work Martin & Sharon :-)
