The house looks over the adjacent lavender fields, which is why we call it “Les Lavandins”. This serene retreat is only three kilometres away from the medieval hilltop village of Saignon. Many other charming villages are scattered throughout the national park and big cities such as Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Marseille are only an hour's drive away. Downstairs is a large living room and spacious kitchen looking into the flower garden and over the lavender fields. Two bedrooms are situated on the first floor. One room with a double-bed, the other with two separate beds. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with WC, hand basin, and shower. The private pool (12m×5.5m) is nestled in a lovely garden and overlooks the lavender fields and boasts stunning views. There is nothing better to sit by the pool with a glass of wine and watch the spectacular sunset over the lavender fields and the Mont Ventoux (it is breath-taking, we promise!). Endless opportunities for outdoor pursuits and little trips present themselves in the immediate surroundings. Visit the nearby villages Bonnieux, Gordes or Lacostes, where you can find art collectives, castles and nice French cafes. For culture enthusiasts the Luberon offers endless festivals. Every day you can find a market an abundance of fresh foods, truffle (in December and January), freshly pressed olive oil and other delicacies. Outdoor activities include hiking, bike riding, horseback riding and canoeing. If you just want to relax the garden offers a peaceful atmosphere. Otherwise visit one of the many good restaurants, which contribute to the region's unique fame and appeal. The Luberon is worth a visit all year round: Starting with delicious truffles in winter, the cherry blossom in spring, sunny hikes and lavender blossom in June and July, summer feelings by the pool until early October and the most wonderful autumn lights at sunny and warm 22 degrees until November. wonderful setting in the middle of lavender fields, great pool, charming interiour design. Even after the lavender season every evening a wonderful scent of the cut lavender filled the air.
