Villa
Taliesin sleeps twelve adults in luxury. It has many decks to relax and take in the stunning views. Heaven for the bird watcher as it is steps from the bird reserve. Feeling energetic you can swim in the heated 10m pool or the safe waterways. As it is steps from the beach you could swim there. A daily house keeper looks after the house and you so this is a real holiday for all! It has been designed to make the most of the Knysna light and breezes with many windows and high full hieght ceilings. The area is stunning and there are many things and places to explore.

Traumhaus auf Thesen Island
Die Villa liegt auf der Pivatinsel Thesen Island und somit muss man sich um die Sicherheit keine großen Gedanken machen. Das Haus grenzt direkt an die Lagune und bietet herrliche Ausblicke aus allen Etagen. Überall gibt es kuschelige Ecken und Plätzchen zu verweilen, zumal sich die Verandha um das ganze Haus zieht. Der Eingangsbereich ist sehr großzügig und das ganze Haus ist geschmackvoll und hübsch eingerichtet. Ein Traum, von dem wir uns nur ungern verabschiedet haben.

House which has it all
The house has definitely the wow-factor: Modern, spacious, plenty of entertainment areas such as the TV/Audio room, the ping-pong room and several seating areas where one can sit comfortably and relaxed and by choosing the seating are, one can always find a quiet moment, even in presence of a big group. We loved the space, the big but cozy table at the kitchen area where up to 12 persons can sit comfortably, the open yard, the spacious bed- and bath rooms. etc. Communication with Sue is easy, timely and reliable. She helped me out when tripadvisor suddenly cancelled my stay.

Delightful home on Thesen Island
Our extended family of 10 people, ranging in age from 87 years to a year, had a wonderful week at Taliesin. The room downstairs was great for the grandparents, and the flatlet with 2 bedrooms & 1 bathroom upstairs worked well for the family with the 1-year-old, including a little kitchen with a microwave to warm his milk early morning. In addition to these 3 bedrooms there are a further 3 en-suite bedrooms. Initially we were a bit nervous about the staircase without a rail, but were able to prevent the 1-yr-old from getting there quite easily by moving the furniture around. An added bonus was the television in a room on its own where it could not disturb the rest of the family. We enjoyed the walks on the island and there are so many attractions in the area that the holiday was over before we knew it.

An amazing house in a spectacular setting
Taliesin is an amazing house in an spectacular setting. This house has it all and more!! We were a family group of 9 (age range from 11 to 83 )and this spacious house offered us all the amenities and comfort you could wish for. It is a wonderful destination for a holiday and we wished we could have stayed longer than our 5 days. In addition to offering uninterrupted views to the Heads, it is centrally situated within walking distance to all that Knysna has to offer, that is if you can tear yourself away from beautiful Thesen Island!

Best holiday ever
Taliesin was the perfect venue for our large group. Space and views abound! Attentive manager made sure our arrival was easy and Joanna, the house keeper took care of us. It is quiet and private but still an easy walk to the restaurants and shops. The island is a great place to stay. This was the most amazing holiday.

An absolute must stay, breathtaking views from a perfect location
We spent 4 days with friends and our kids at Taliesen on Thesen during the Knysna Oyster Festival. The house is beautiful with loads of space, large entertainment areas and stunning views. Our children were cycling around the estate and enjoying the lagoon whilst we were enjoying sundowners on the veranda overlooking the lagoon. We can't wait to be back.

Magnificant House
Thank you for an unforgettable holiday experience at Taliesin. I am certain the family will treasure it for a long time. This house was perfect for our large family. From the reception at the security gate to the daily housekeeping service was excellent. Taliesin was perfectly situated for all our holiday requirements. A short drive daily took us to all the tourist hotspots in the Knysna region.

Most wonderful house in Knysna
A perfect stay: friendly welcome, house is in a very quiet location, but near enough to shops and restaurants. Its very stylish decorated and offers so many lounges inside and outside. The maid is very kind. A big table accommodates up to twelve guests.The views from all rooms and decks are so beautiful. The garage offers space for two cars. Internet connection is fast and easy to handle. We'd love to come back.

If you are visiting from abroad there are many flights from major international cities to either Johanesburg or Cape Town. Catch one of the many connecting domestic flights to George. George Airport is under an hours drive from Knysna. Spectacular views on the way. Alternatively you could drive from Cape Town. This will take you a morning or afternoon. It is a pleasant route through beautiful country side.
