Rustic, Quiet Cabin Near Denali with Kitchen, Alaskan Outhouse, No cleaning fee!

Overview
Cottage -
1 Bedroom , 1 Bathroom , Sleeps 5
Healy, Denali National Park and Preserve, Alaska
Welcome!
Cute, quiet, cozy cabin just listed May 2017, and we are proud to say it is a real Alaskan experience! Our quiet, private cabin is definitely rustic but has electricity, hot and cold running water and a full kitchen.
Also, it has a recently added on bathroom (still under construction though!) with an indoor shower and bathroom sink. But no indoor toilet, after all, who needs it when surrounded by all of this majestic beauty?

So we invite you to take advantage of a unique opportunity to connect with nature as you take a few steps outside the front door to use your very own clean and maintained port-a-potty.
(OR a few steps toward the secluded back of the property to use the real-deal, our clean Alaskan outhouse!)

After a scenic 2-mile drive down historic Stampede Road, we think you'll already be falling in love with Denal...

I love staying at this camp, I have been here 24 days. I am working in Healy and have really taken advantage of this opportunity. The camp has everything I would expect a good camp to have. This is Alaska, this is a camp, so...More

About the neighbourhood
Our small town is really small! No real grocery stores within 100 miles of anywhere in Denali. We have one store that is a liquor/grocery store and a gallon of milk is $8!!! You definitely need to 'stock up' before arriving here. Buy anything you will need in town before heading heading out here. Lots of bottled water, snacks, etc. for your long days of travel/exploring.
Getting around
The Denali area is an absolutely unforgettable experience and also can be tricky to navigate as a visitor. With 6 million acres of undisturbed wilderness and only 1 road that can only be seen by private bus, it's definitely different than other parks. (Alaska is over half a million sq miles and only 1% of land is privately owned)
Denali National Park almost completely shuts down for the winter season, September-May, this cabin is located in the 'locals' area, the town of Healy.

How to get there
Our cabin is about 20 minutes away from Denali.

The entrance to Denali National Park is located 10 miles south of Healy (about 15 minutes away), we are the closest 'year-round' town. Our cabin just 2 miles up Stampede Rd, which is preserved State Land that is completely undeveloped (moose are seen there very frequently).

This is in contrast to the narrow strip of land that is located immediately outside the park entrance and it's a great place for shopping, eating, and browsing but very crowded and commercialized ('Glitter Gulch' is what the locals call it). So, it's located in a very different area than the Park Entrance hotels.
