Te Vai Moana is located on the west side of the island in the village of Nikaupara, which adjoins the town area of Arutanga. The Villa has easy access to water taxi's from the main wharf in town, and lagoon cruises departing from nearby. Located 400m from the water, it has stunning views of the lagoon and open ocean from its expansive deck.
The Villa is self-contained, has high quality furnishings, and a fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances and an island bench. The kitchen has everything you require for a comfortable stay including oven, microwave, blender, kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, high quality pots and pans, and even containers for you to pack a picnic lunch for the day.
The water has been UV treated and filtered on site for your convenience, and means you do not need to buy drinking water.
The dining table is extendable and seats 8 comfortably.
There is a large bathroom with a stone vanity, and spacious shower. There is a separate toilet.
A large laundry is located on the ground floor for your personal use.
There is also an outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day in the lagoon.
With full length screened louvre windows to capture the breeze, 5 ceiling fans, and air conditioning ( available at additional cost of $10 per day), you can relax in comfort.
The villa has prepaid WIFI access and phone with free local calls.
The huge balcony has views of both the open ocean and the Aitutaki lagoon including Maina and Honeymoon Islands. During whale season you can see whales from the balcony.
400m from the water, and a 5 minute walk from town, you can catch water taxi's to your favorite island location, or go on a day cruise of the lagoon leaving from just around the corner.
This beautiful Villa is family friendly with cot and portable high chair available at no charge.
It comfortably sleeps 5 people (the standard tariff covers up to 5 people). A maximum of 7 guests can be accommodated with an additional charge of $20 per person per night ( for persons 6 and 7).
There is a queen bed in the main bedroom, and a double and single bed in the 2nd bedroom. An additional queen sized sofa bed is available on request at an additional charge (see above).
Transfers from the AIrport to the Villa return are available upon request at a cost of $20 per person.
*If you're traveling from Europe, the UK, or the USA to the Cook Islands, we recommend you spread your stay between Rarotonga and Aitutaki, and also add on 3 nights in Atiu, and even Mangaia. Flights depart regularly from Aitutaki to Atiu, and Atiu to Rarotonga or Mangia, so you can add this additional experience on with little extra cost. Each island offers its own unique experience, and guests who have traveled to the Cook Islands from a long distance have reflected they wish they had known of the other islands, and how easy it was to travel between islands.
This is our home away from home in Aitutaki. We’ve stayed at Te Vai Moana so many times, we really feel like it’s ours. The new mattresses are very comfortable and the Villa is clean and presented very well.
Being fully screened, we had no issues with mosquitoes and as all sides of the Villa have large windows, there is usually a cooling breeze. We appreciate having the air conditioning, but very rarely need it. The Villa is spacious with a large fully equipped kitchen and roomy bathroom. Lovely views from the huge deck which has seating and BBQ. Looking forward to returning next year.

So good to return
We enjoyed another wonderful stay at Te Vai Moana this year. The house is comfortable, well-equipped and is in a quiet location with partial lagoon views. We look forward to staying here again next year.

Back again to this wonderful place
We were very pleased to be able to return to beautiful Aitutaki and enjoyed our stay at Te Vai Moana. We’ve stayed here many times and it feels like our own Cook Islands holiday home.
Meali was very friendly, welcoming and made sure everything was right for our arrival.
The weather was windy our first week, so the windows on all sides were great, allowing the cooling breezes throughout the villa. During the second week, we had a few hot/still days, so the air conditioning was very welcome.

Ein wunderschönes Heim für den Familienurlaub im Paradies :)
Ein tolles Heim im Paradies für die Familie! Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt! Es ist wirklich wie auf den Bildern sehr schön und man merkt, dass dies ein Ferienhaus für eine Familie ist, die sich dort selbst auch sehr gerne wohlfühlt :)
Unsere Reise haben wir lange geplant und daher hatten wir viele Fragen. Mii hat alle unsere Fragen geduldig und schnell beantwortet und so waren wir gut vorbereitet auf unsere lange Reise. Wir wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt und konnten noch einen kleinen Stop am Supermarkt einlegen, um die ersten Dinge einzukaufen. Im Haus war alles vorhanden was man brauchen könnte. Wir durften 3 Wochen hier sein und Mii organisierte uns am Abreisetag sogar noch eine wundervolle Überraschung... vielen Dank für alles!
Das einzige was wir sagen könnten: die Matratzen würden wir eine Nummer härter nehmen :)) Aber das ist Geschmacksache :))
Vielen Dank dass wir hier sein durften! Wir wären am liebsten gleich für immer geblieben und freuen uns sehr auf das nächste Mal in ein paar Jahren :)

Nice villa, pretty far removed from ocean but comfortable
Pickup at the airport and lei greeting were nice touches. Stopped for provisioning and to arrange a scooter rental on way to the villa. Having a car or scooter is a must for here, as it is a bit of a hike into town and to any water-based activities. But it was nice to have peace and quiet (except for the roosters at all hours doing their thing); a gas grill on the deck and starry skies at night. Unit has A/C but we didn't need to use it. Only suggestion is to get a firmer mattress for the bed - otherwise a great stay!

Great Villa!
During our eighteen night stay we made it as our home. The site managers Meali and Mii was exceptionally remarkable at helping us with anything we needed. The kitchen was fully equipped with good cooking utensils. Everything worked well in the home. The villa was spacious, clean, and it looks just like the photos on line. The washer was useful since we are fly fishers and needed to wash fishing clothes. The property itself and the lawn was well maintained. It was surprising to see fruit trees on site! One thing to point out about the villa is that there are chickens, roosters and piglets that roam the property. No need for an early morning wake up call. The roosters are on the job. Overall, we would highly recommend this villa and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The "Wow" factor!
This home was an extremely comfortable, well setup and resourced oasis on the stunning Island of Aitutaki.
It has lovely indoor/outdoor living areas. It is an airy and cool home providing relief from the humidity.

An amazing stay in paradise
The vai Moana villa certainly ticks all the boxes for a home away from home. Everything you could possibly want or need has been thought of. From the time we arrived to be greeted with beautiful leis And the assistance that was given because our car wasn’t dropped off as arranged ( we arrived on the last flight) Tiki went out of his way and drove us all the way back to the airport to pickup the car that was supposed to be dropped of at the house. The furnishings and Manchester is of great quality and in abundance. The beautiful fresh fruit that was left for us was amazing!
Very well positioned for optimum utilisation of the ocean and bush breeze. This home is definitely purpose built for the enhancement of relaxation, entertainment and tranquility.
Definitely recommend and will be booking again for next year👌🏻👌🏻❤️

great home for a family, clean and modern
this house was LARGE modern and clean and tidy, you have to be careful with water usage, but the owners are prompt to fix any issues asap.
having A/C is awesome and the view is lovely of the lagoon and reef, the big veranda is great, we would definitely stay again, we didnt have any major issue with the chickens in the area, which in the cooks can be loud
