Located within 300 meters to one of the most famous old towns in rural China, Daliwuzi is ideal for people who want to explore Dali and beyond with families and friends in home-to-home comfort. Built in the traditional local stone and wood style, it has a wealth of character including exposed stone walls, wooden floors, beams and wooden vaulted ceilings. It has been restored to a family vacation house, maintaining much of its original features, but with the comfort of modern facilities. Dali Wuzi consists of two independent buildings plus an outdoor covered dining area, surrounding a coutyard in the local fashion. About the neighbourhood
Dali, the original funky banana-pancake backpacker hang-out in Yunnan, was once the place to chill, with its stunning location sandwiched between mountains and Erhai Lake. Dali lies on the western edge of Erhai Lake at an altitude of 1900m, with a backdrop of the imposing 4000m-tall Cang Shan (Green Mountains). For much of the five centuries in which Yunnan governed its own affairs, Dali was the centre of operations, and the old city retains a historical atmosphere that is hard to come by in other parts of China. Loafing here for a couple of weeks was an essential Yunnan experience.
