Unique private older comfortable well maintained 2 bedroom house. In 1971 we moved the house to the rear of the lot so it's off the street and affords a unique privacy, does not appear on Google Maps.
Master bed has a queen tempurpedic mattress, 2nd bedroom has double over double bunk beds plus a twin bed with a trundle rollout underneath. 5 beds total. Front porch with charcoal grills. Kitchen fully stocked, dishes and glasses and utensils, pots and pans. Bathroom fully stocked with a dozen freshly cleaned towels and faceclothes, Numerous toiletries including shampoos and conditioners and soaps. Washer and dryer. Central air, central heat. This house has everything you will need.

Fantastic location - walking distance to a number of restaurants, Whole Foods, Lady Bird Lake running trails. Enjoyed the house very much - thank you Mike.

About the neighbourhood
In 1971 we moved the house to the rear of the lot. This gives the house a very unique privacy in downtown Austin. No other houses around. We are 2 blocks west of the Whole Foods at 6th & Lamar. This is the flagship Whole Foods store and I highly recommend a visit to all travelers. It has about 10 different eating areas inside and has something for everybody. As you walk further east on 6th st you are in the entertainment district, with dozens of bars and restaurants.
The Colorado River is about a quarter of a mile south and the Hike & Bike Trail is easily accessable. It is world-class and should not be missed. Barton Springs and Deep Eddy are both on the trail and are both spring-fed water holes with the water a constant 68 degrees, paradise on a hot summer day..

Airport: ABIA: 8.1 km
Railway: AMTRAK: 0.4 km
Go west on 6th st (it is one-way going west). After you pass the Whole Foods at Lamar get into the left lane and turn left at the second street, which is Walsh. You will see Sandys Supply on the right, my house is directly behind Sandys, turn right into the alley and you will see my house, can't miss it, its the only house around.
