Atlantic City is a resort city on New Jersey's Atlantic coast that's known for its many casinos, wide beaches and iconic Boardwalk. Established in the 1800s as a health resort, today the city is dotted with glitzy high-rise hotels and nightclubs. In addition to gambling at slot machines and table games, the casinos offer spa treatments, performances by famous comedy and music acts, and high-end shopping.
Getting around
Most points in Atlantic City can be reached by the complimentary shuttle bus. A car be used to get around the area as well. The Jitney also provides bus service in the Atlantic City area.

FROM PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: Take I-95 North to the Walt Whitman Bridge.Follow Route 42 South (becomes Atlantic City Expressway (East/Atlantic City). * Follow the Expressway into Atlantic City. The AC Expressway becomes Christopher Columbus Boulevard upon entering AtlanticCity (keep left). Turn left onto Atlantic Avenue. Continue on Atlantic Avenue to Maine Avenue, turn left. FROM NEW YORK & NORTH JERSEY: Take the Garden State Parkway South to Exit 38, the Atlantic CityExpressway. Follow directions * above from this point. FROM WILMINGTON, DELAWARE: Take I-95 North to the I-76 E exit (exit number 19 - Walt WhitmanBridge/Packer Avenue). Take Route 42 South to The Atlantic City Expressway. Follow directions * above from this point.
