If you only want a place to sleep this might be okay.

If you are looking for just a place to sleep this might be the place.
We had some difficulty locating the building as it is in the back entrance of the Marriot and the street is not very attractive as this is where the trash trucks and delivery trucks for the Marriot do their business. Even with the instructions it was difficult to find as no streets are marked. We should have taken the owners advise on using a driving service he does business with. We had previous arrangements but if you go use his driver.
When we arrived, finally, following instructions we buzzed the check in manager. No answer. We waited around until another resident showed up with a key, so we were able to gain entrance to the building. Took the elevator to the seventh floor as instructed. Rang the doorbell and the manager answered. She did not speak English but seemed to know who we were. Showed us to the “Condo” and how to open the door. This was not what I was expecting. The place was really two one room apartments connected with a door with a 12” high wall at the threshold. Pretty weird.
There were very few utensils as far as silverware. Just a couple of goodwill forks and spoons and plastic knives. If you want to do a lot of cooking bring your own equipment.
We were told that fresh towels, linens etc. would be furnished every four days. Never happened. No drinking glasses, no table for four people to eat at, no chairs accept for two office chairs and a couple of camp stools.
One of the shower heads fell apart and couldn’t be put back together.
The noise outside at night is very loud with all the trucks coming and going and the trash compactors or whatever.
The sidewalks, to get to the place are a minefield of holes, broken concrete and even a water break of some kind pouring water down the street, wires dangle form a light pole.
One night there was a terrible racket outside in the middle of the night that went on for some time. We awoke to no electricity. It seems they were changing the was the bowl of spaghetti that is the way power lines are hung down here.
We decided to go out for the day and hope we had power when we came back. We did.
I would have to say that the website was somewhat misleading. However, in their defense the price, compared to what two rooms at the Marriot, is right if you are just looking for a place to sleep.
The owner puts a lot of information in the room about places to eat. We tried several and found the food to be inferior to what we are used to and some quite expensive. We only had a couple of good meals our entire stay but that is just the way it is down in Panama City.
Maybe I am too picky. You get what you pay for.

Important Notation: The above Traveler did not arrive on the day of their reservation! Also the traveler never noticed us of there delay: They arrived the next day at 10 PM at night. The unit they had reserved as no longer available, we assumed they were a NO Show! The unit they had reserved was rented the day after they were to check in. The unit they reserved is very super, as depicted in the pictures. I offered them a their money back minus the 1 day they no showed. They asked what we had open. I told them I did not have any units open but my neighbor upstairs rents units but they are not as NICE as ours. The client went to floor 8 above us viewed the room and accepted the unit. They were happy we could locate them alternately. So in fact I helped them out when they would have paid 200 a njght at the Marriott next door only to have them give me a black eye. The customer never even stayed in my unit. It is obvious if you read this review they were not please with me or Panama for that matter. People love our units and they are unique.
Final note we have full glazed windows and its very quiet in our unit. The unit upstairs has jalousy windows which are escentially slatted windows and they are horrible noisy. Of of course this client would be disturbed by the noise as that neighbor unit is very loud, we are in the city city center. Our location by the Marriott is actually quiet off the main throughfare streets and in the SAFEST Location in Panama City. .
So please do not rely on this review. Read the other reviews we have from people who do arrive on time and actaully stay in my places.

Centrally Located!
If you want to stay in the heart of Panama City, you can't do much better - excellent location. Very close to casinos, restaurants, public transportation and shopping. The room is just that - a small room in a condo of other rooms. I had a mini-fridge and mini-stove and sink w/in the room. There was a separate private bathroom w/ a shower. Scotty, my host, provided me w/ a plethora of information regarding eating out and activities. I will say that, I was a bit put off and offended by how adamant he was about discouraging guests from visiting Colon. I went and loved it - I found people to be friendly and gracious. Just b/c an area is poor does not mean the people are degenerates. I felt very safe at his place and worth the price.

A Comfortable and Well Located Place to Stay
Central Tower is a condominium building called Cadiz Condominiums. Scott, the owner who offers this property, owns part of the 7th floor. His portion of this floor is divided into about 4 separate units. Each unit is a micro-suite some with private bathrooms and some without. The room I rented was about 10 by 13 feet in size and contained a double bed, A/C, abundant windows allowing natural light, a desk and chair, a large wall mounted digital HD tv, fan, 2 burner electric stove, a toaster oven, a micro-fridge, kitchen sink, plenty of cooking and dining utensils, and a full bathroom. There is also a community washer/dryer that every guest can use for free. Wi-Fi reception is excellent.
Now if you are a tall visitor the bathroom-shower height may not appeal to you but for my wife and myself it was sufficient.
We had a pleasant experience renting this unit for several weeks and have no complaints. It is modern and contains all the amenities for a comfortable and care free stay. The location is very good as there are restaurants located all over the immediate area, as well as several major hotels and casinos. The supermarket is situated just about a quarter mile away. You can catch taxis, buses or the new subway all located within 1 to 4 blocks from the property.
The on site attendant for Scott's units, Sabrina, is a very nice individual and was a pleasure to deal with. If you needed anything she was there to assist you without complaint.
The only thing I find about the listing on this property to be misleading on TripAdvisor is the photo. The photo shown is not the Cadiz Condominiums (Central Tower). Other than that I have nothing, but praise for the property. The price was very good and I consider it a bargain compared to most other rental properties within the better neighborhoods of Panama City.

About the neighbourhood
Top area in Panama City downtown. As good as it gets, All the Casinos and Hotels are here, so there is a huge Police Presence. Restaruants 15m out our front door, walk to them in less than 5 minutes.: Supermarket only a block and a half away. Metro Station (Subway) only 3 Blocks, Bus Stations to entire city only 1/2 block away. Night clubs and Discos all right here in Calle Uruguay District. Salsa clubs, and all of the action right here.
Getting around
Super easy the new Metro (Subway) is only 3 Blocks to the entrance.
Buses only 1 Block away to the main bus stops on Calle 50 , which brings your all over the city.
Taxis, Uber , right out our front door in Seconds.
Supermarket only 1 Block away.
Casinos 1/2 Block away to marriott and 1 Block to Sonesta, and 1 Block away to Majestic Casino.

How to get there
Easy we can send you an airport transfer: this is a super deal as we not only pick you up but this is also a direct check in service. so you leave the airport and in only 22 mintues your in the condo ready to tour or rock and roll. Cost of airport transfer is $ 30 and that inlcudes the tolls on the ocean causeway entry which is truly magnificent.
Arrive on your own via Taxi, rental car is easy: Arrive to Area Bancaria ! We are at the end of Calle San Lucas at he Marriott employee entrance. Edificio Cadiz 37 . Best to call amalia for instructions for your driver if you are not using our airport Transfer service: She is your check in clerk. She needs to hear from you 30 miutes prior to your arrvial at a minimum:
