A deram come true
We spent the Holidays at this historic house with our family. The house is located in the Yemin-Moshe old neighborhood, and a 5 minute walk to the Old City. There is plenty of room , and a great balcony looking at the so close Old City.
Jerusalem during the Jewish Holidays is a very busy city day and night and we loved walking around. In the evenings we spent time in the near-by "First Station" a great place to hang out at nights, and attended a Musical concert in the Sultan's pool.
During our stay we have never felt unsafe or at risk

Fantastic Location for Jerusalem
OK, this apartment was basic but the price was reasonable and the room clean. The rooms were comfortable, we stayed in the apartment called Dream of Jerusalem for 10 days.
Our host was very informative & recommended visits & best way to get around.

Birds singing through my window at dawn - five minute walk to Old City
Kitchen well equipped including some complimentary food items, two bedrooms of a good size, comfortable living room, balcony with stunning view. Yossi was very helpful with questions we had. Maps were available in the living room to consult. Shower had hot water whenever we needed it. Air conditioning worked very well. All lighting fixtures worked and were in useful locations. Very well maintained. I stayed in one room and my two friends comfortably stayed in the other room.
The principal difference between a hotel and this flat was the sensation of being close to nature. Trees and plants were growing up to the front door, and there was a tree outside my window that a bulbul liked to sit on while singing - hard to get that experience in a hotel.
I hope to return many times!

The Dream of Jerusalem suite is a part of Avissar House in Yemin Moshe and is located in the exclusive neighborhood Yemin Moshe and faces the breathtaking view of the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, the Valley of Hinom and numerous villages scattered on the hills surrounding Jerusalem.
It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from Avissar House to the center of Jerusalem with its shops, restaurants galleries and nightlife. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from Avissar House to the colorful markets of the Old City and its spiritual centers sacred to Jews, Christians and Moslems. These include The Wailing Wall, Holy Sepulcher, The Dome of the Rock, as well as many other religious and archeological sites. Yossi Avissar, the owner of Avissar House, is a documentary film director and a writer. He will be happy to introduce you to the "real Israel".
Avissar House was built in 1892, in Yemin Moshe, one of the first Jewish neighborhoods outside the Old City walls. Between 1949 and 1967 it was near the no-man's land at the heart of a divided Jerusalem. Today this area is renovated and is considered as one of the most exclusive neighborhoods of Jerusalem. Parks and gardens surround the house; the serenity of the neighborhood (no car zone) and its extraordinary beauty are only a few of its advantages.
