Here is the letter I wrote to Airbnb regarding my stay:
Hello! I'm writing from what should be lovely Istanbul, but instead has been almost a full day now of patience-testing aggravation.
You see, we arrived at our apartment here in Istanbul yesterday at around 3pm local time, and from the very beginning, we were met with a choir of noises angelic only if the Devil himself were the conductor.
From the very first moment after we arrived, construction noises clamored all around us. Drills, hammers, drills, screeching metal, other drills, and still more drills.
Really though, in all seriousness, the construction noise was unbearable. We got to our apartment yesterday in the early afternoon, and Munir - our host who is super friendly, by the way - would meet us at our apartment a half an hour later to show us some things. While we awaited his arrival, the noise of hammering and military-grade drilling surroumded us.
First we laughed about it...
