Perfect location, peacefull patio, excellent organisation
Stayed in Maison Africa in october 2016 with a family of 3. Perfect location as in walking distance to Medina (< 15 Minutes to the main place) but also to Jardin Majorelle and new town. And the next parking spot (for taxis) < 5 minutes walking distance. On the other hand far enough to get away from the noise and traffic, so inside the patio it's very peacefull and also on the rooftop we had nice and relaxing evenings. Had 2 dinners at the location with good food and nice hosts. Very helpful manager Bashir helped us to organise the week with recommendations and support in any aspect. Thanks for a great week.

Hidden Oasis
The Riad was all luxury. The minute we walked through the door into the garden area we knew we had picked a gem. We were there during a head wave so thank goodness for the air conditioning. We ended up adding an extra night so we could really enjoy the atmosphere. This rental included breakfast which was great to have every morning before we went out exploring. We would return in the late afternoon to cool off then head out again for dinner. The decor was perfect and fit the age of the Riad. The detail was impressive. I would highly recommend this place to all travelers.

charming Riad, friendly & helpful host, ideally located
The house is very charming, nice (cool!) rooms, cool courtyard (a small pool that is espially attractive in the summer months when the sun is right above the courtyard) and great roof terrace. Peter is a really helpful host who even arranges a rental car if you wish.
The Riad is located in the northern part of the Medina, quite close to the souks. Everything on walking distance.

A quiet and peaceful oasis in the middle of a busy and noisy Marrakech
I was part of a group of 7 and it was our first time in Marrakech so we were unsure what to expect. However the Riad surpassed our expectations. We ate at the Riad upon arrival and the food was delicious, as was breakfast every morning. Zahira the housekeeper was fantastic, she could not have looked after us any better. The Riad itself is comfortable, clean and spacious. When I return to Marrakech I will be sure to stay at Riad Africa again.

A most unique charming oasis of bequiling beauty & authenticity
Riyad africa has splendid spacious layout, superb facilites, comfort, standard, cleanliness and style.
Amazing view and sunset from its roof top terrace - refreshing cool breeze at the close of the day.
The most melodious dawn chorus to greet you on each new day.
The early prayer calls during Ramadan that reminds one of one's human fragilities and tests or reassuringly re-enforces one of one's spiritual strength.
Superb location, close proximity to the Medina to explore the intrigue of the souk and all the natural wealth and culture of Marrakesh.
Ideal courtyard - an extension and heart of its residential space.
Warm hospitality and excellent service from its dedicated and helpful staff (housekeeper/cook and knowledgeable manager who is always close at hand to help and advise if needed).
An ideal place from where to explore the Medina and its Souk, the High atlas Mountain and its villages.
The whole - an experience not to be missed!
How very glad I am that we met! ... and am now laden with vast riches and tributes from our companionship - my sojourn here which I shall celebrate always.
And hope to return to ... time and time again !

About the neighbourhood
Maison Africa is located in a quiet residential area, just 200 metres walk from Rue Riad Laarous. A short walk along Riad Laarous leads into the bustling covered souks of Marrakech, through which you can walk to the very heart of the Medina at Place Djemaa el Fna. Others attractions located close by the riad include the Palace/Museum of Dar El Bacha, the Mosque and Medersa of Ben Youssef, and the Museum of Marrakech.
Marrakech is a city for discerning travellers with a keen interest in culture and a couple of days is simply not enough to fully discover the wealth of attractions this city offers. The minaret of Koutoubia Mosque is the landmark and emblem of the city. Other important quarters worth a visit within the old city ramparts include Kasbah and Mellah (the Jewish quarter), both in the south and close to the Royal Palaces (closed to visitors). The Saadien Tombs and Dar Si Said Museum are also of particular interest.
