The building itself is quite new but it is located in a very old quarter. It used be surrounded by a medieval city wall until it was levelled to make space for a round park. A lovely apartment for a couple. You can dine & wine at a bar top in the kitchen or straight in bed. A flat screen tv equipped with hdmi cable (no apple adapter yet). Bathroom with a fan and a magic-flush toilet. The apartment as a whole is your private area. Only you have the access to it. Super convenient location
Everything is at the doorstep or just a few minutes walk away. Really close to the main square and restaurants and close enough to hear the trumpeter at the basilica every hour. But, at the same time, just far enough away to provide a quiet little oasis away from all the hustle and bustle. The sound of gentle conversation drifting up from the little bar downstairs in the courtyard of an adjoining building could be heard occasionally and added a kind of nice summer holiday vibe. The apartment was neat, clean and had everything I needed for a comfortable and hassle free stay. I was a little sad to leave after 3 weeks. Really loved my stay in Krakow.

A Real Krakow Experience!
I stayed at Marcin's flat for 6 months during my academic project at the Jagiellonian University. I am truly grateful for being Marcin's guest for such a long time, because I have experienced a real and sincere hospitality. The communication between the landlord and the guest was very nice. The flat literally locates at the heart of the city. You can reach the Main Square in 17 steps, which is around 25 seconds. The flat itself was very comfortable in terms of cooking and doing daily activities. The small size of the flat was very efficient in terms of heating. The fact that entering into flat requires opening 3 different doors makes the flat super safe and secure against any kind of illegal activities. The landlord is always eager to provide additional items the guests may need. The toilet and shower are newly decorated and the flat looks not very different than a modern hotel room. You will definitely enjoy your stay at Marcin's lovely flat.

Loved it!
Very charming, cozy apartment, perfect for a couple. Ideal location for exploring the centre of the city, few steps from the Main Square, dozens of good restaurants, bars and cafes. Very clean sized nice sized bathroom with shower, kitchen was small but well equipped and absolutely adequate to make simple meals. Staff attitude was exellent, Marcin met us when we arrived was really helpful with restaurant recommendations loads of info. f you're going to stay in Krakow I really highly recommend this place.

About the neighbourhood
The apartment is located in the central part of the city which dates back to deep medieval times. The city was built according to a plan made in 1253. However you can find even older parts here, which were already existing before the plan was brought to life. The royal castle for instance dates back to 11th century. The neighbourhood is filled with places to sit in, sightseeing spots and foreign languages. The medieval heart of the city has never been seriously damaged and is therefore a pearl of middle eastern Europe.
Getting around
Since you're already in the middle of the city, you don't really need any public transport. A stroll along the tiny streets next to Market Square or jogging through the park ('Planty') surrounding the medieval part might be very pleasant. However exploring further areas, let's say jewish quarter, is also very convenient. You can get there in no more than 20 mins by foot. You can always take a tram as well. The nearest stop is 'Teatr Bagatela' which you can reach in 5 mins. From there you can go in multiple directions. Please remember, the house is inside a strict pedestrian zone. The nearest place where you can park your car is 700m far from the house (more info in a private message).

How to get there
Please be aware that the apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. The house stands in a lively area with multiple pubs within walking range. One of them is quite close to the apartment. There might be some noise coming from there - especially in the weekends. Earplugs might be a relief then and you can always find them next to the bed :)
