Everything was great! If you are looking for a house with a perfect view and a great sandy beach, DaVilla is the place for you. Perfectly situated in the center of the island! We went sight seeing to other beaches that claimed to be the best beaches on the island and our entire family was like, it’s not really better than the beach at DaVilla!

It’s a beautiful home w/ every amenity that you need! We had an amazing time and were very sad to leave. The views from the house are amazing and the beach was just a walk down a short private path. We love this island and plan to be back soon and will stay here again!!

Wonderful place! The view on the ocean is breathtaking. The kids kept playing in the ocean non-stop, the didnt want to leave! The villa is very spacious with everything you need. The owner, Jim, is always super fast to reply and help on any questions you might have. Amazing!

We have stayed in many VRBO properties and this one is right at the top for cleanliness and organization. Also has such a lovely view and beach. We enjoyed our stay here.

Our stay was amazing. This was our 2nd visit to Eleuthera and stay at Jim's property. Friends of ours also stayed in the apartment over the garage which was perfect. The house is a perfect set up for a family. We love the beach and the reefs and swimming was spectacular. Gatherings in the evenings for dinner in the large kitchen was nice. It was perfect. Our last night we had a small fire down by the beach. The stars were so incredible. We hope to back soon!

We loved staying at DaVilla with our 3 kids. I really appreciated oversized bedrooms with king sized beds. View from the house is breathtaking, we were waking up every morning to a sunrise over an ocean. House is conveniently located next to the towns where you can find grocery stores and restaurants. We cooked a lot at home and the kitchen had everything we needed. Beach by the house is beautiful, we rarely saw anyone there despite holiday season, so it felt very private. Nearby reefs are amazing for snorkeling. We enjoyed doing it every day and saw a lot of beautiful fish and corals.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving week at Da Villa. The house was honestly better than the pictures show. It was bigger than I expected. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed. The a/c worked great - we only needed it at night. The view could not be more beautiful. We had the beach to ourselves all week. It was our first time to Eleuthra. It is what I would call pretty remote and many of the restaurants seemed to have closed for good. We happened upon Delish which is apparently new and after my kids raved about it for a few days we ended up there twice. My main advice is BUG SPRAY. This is certainly nothing specific to the house but beware of bugs if you are laying on the hammock- they seemed to love that area especially at the same time that one of us wanted to also enjoy it. 3/5 of our family were eaten up by noseeums. The 2 people who didn't try the hammock faired ok. Just apply bug spray like sunscreen before you feel anything and you should be good. This home is absolutely amazing! The view is breathtaking. The house has large bedrooms and it has anything you could possibly need. Our family loved it so much, we were so so sad to leave. Arthur the property manager could not have been kinder or more helpful and we also rented a car from him. Jim the owner called us and he was lovely and helpful to chat with. Run, don’t walk to this extraordinary place. It is Heaven on Earth! <3

The size of the house and location exceeded my expectations. As a family, we had never been to Eleuthera which makes choosing a house to rent worrisome. Jim was so responsive and helpful which we much appreciated. The house was a perfect size to settle in for 12 nights. The views were absolutely incredible being elevated with reefs to give it depth. We especially enjoyed the privacy and safety this house has to offer. It felt true to Bahamian style. The beach was perfect some days, windy and choppy a few others. It was centrally located to allow for exploration both north and south each day to better know the island. Upsides: privacy, wonderful views, nice breezes to counter noseeums, remoteness, very helpful owner. Downsides: some days ocean choppy, a good 15-20+ minute drive from most restaurants, etc (this is the case for almost any home on the island FYI), having to leave :). They say Eleuthera isn’t the right island for everyone, but it was perfect for us. I have traveled the Caribbean extensively and used to have a family home in Antigua. It’s hard to find an island these days that has endless remote and picture perfect beaches. It’s hard to find a house priced like Da Villa that provides complete privacy and a wonderful remote beach. The airport is rustic, the island is a bit rough, grocery stores are interesting, but it’s old Bahamian charm is to be embraced and respected. Do not expect to be catered to here, to go shopping, to have an abundance of fancy restaurants. Expect bug bites, bumpy roads, kind loving people, and real island charm that still feels undiscovered and protected from overdevelopment and tourism. I very much respect and appreciate the Bahamian community for protecting their land to this degree.
