We have yet to meet someone who doesn’t experience a little thrill of 'wow!' every time they arrive in our home. We still do, every time! As you enter the Balinese style garden and head up the steps to the front door of this humble beach shack, little will you believe what awaits - views to absolutely die for. Alighting from the funky entry hall, you'll be awestruck by the ocean views afforded the entire top floor. You can see the curve of the earth. Can’t get enough of these views? We can’t either! So grab a wine (or whatever) and have a seat on the upper deck for some ship, bird and whale-watching. With European appliances, and virtually everything we could think of that might reasonably be needed, the kitchen is a gourmet chef's delight. So grab a wine (or whatever) and have a seat on the upper deck for some ship, bird and whale-watching. With European appliances, and virtually everything we could think of that might reasonably be needed, the kitchen is a gourmet chef's delight. With lots of space, the extension table upstairs is big enough for a huge tribe. But if you don’t feel like cooking there are restaurants nearby and some that deliver. Or if you feel like a BBQ, get organised and head down to the lower deck where the 4-burner hooded BBQ sits alongside large dining setting, protected from breezes. There’s even a small beer fridge downstairs! The main bedroom with KS bed invites lazy mornings, drinking coffee from the dripolator, watching the ocean. Our tip is to save your shower until the late afternoon and watch twilight and dusk fall across Mt Ninderry through windows set at just the right height to maintain modesty and afford spectacular shower views. Or have two. Solar water heating means plenty of hot water for everyone! Downstairs bedroom 2 has a KS bed, and the third is a QS also with a couch from which you can admire the garden and have some quiet downtime. But if there's a few more to stay, there are futon mattresses to roll out in the media room downstairs, or even outside on the deck. For those that like a bath, luxuriate in the downstairs bathroom with mood lighting and music piped in. If you love a good movie or to watch sport (or just want the kids to go away and be quiet for a while), hit the media room with HD TV and surround sound, which is large enough for everyone to sprawl about. You’ll find the stereo here which operates the speakers strategically located around the house. Plug the 1/8th jack into your preferred device and shake your booty. The garden is a child's delight with hidey holes and paths to everywhere - even the adults will enjoy. Plenty of room for 'at-home' picnics if you simply cannot bear to head to the beach because this place is simply superb. Pets are strictly by request only. We know from personal experience how hard it is to find a place that will accept ‘travelling cats’. Our cats love coming to laze on the upper deck or play with the scratchy posts. Please, not on the furniture, unless covers are in place. Indoor cats only. Dogs must remain outdoors in the luxuriously appointed 'doggy zone'. This is a secure, shaded, protected deck with ocean and garden views. It has a little bit of garden and sunny spots too. It comes with it's own giant-sized dog house (byo bedding) and water and food bowls...even a few toys. This is the same area as the outdoor dining mentioned above. Dogs may visit the main garden when accompanied by their owners, which protects our wildlife and flora. Whether you’re travelling as a couple, a group of friends, family or extended family, or for business, you’ll love our place. Egyptian cotton bath-towels, soft and big beach towels, and high-thread count bed linen are all supplied. So get ready to luxuriate. Welcome home. We invite you to enjoy our home as much as we do when we visit!More

Squeaky Sands is a delightful house with magnificent views - 2 massive decks both with greater than 180 degree views over the sea and surrounding suburbs which is mostly greenery and reminds me of the Mediterranean. The kitchen is really well equipped (important to me)...More

About the neighbourhood
Our guests tell us they love the views, the quiet area, and the wildlife. Then they tell us about the great beaches they've visited, like access point 90 which is a 15 minute walk or 2 min drive, or Coolum Beach near the Surf Life Saving Club. And if you have a car you can head north or south along David Low Way for your pick of a huge number of beautiful beaches. There are some wonderful bush walks in the area. Coolum has a range of great restaurants both for evening and for brunch. Markets are held nearby in Maroochydore on the last Friday of every month and in Eumundi every Saturday.
How to get there
Yaroomba/Coolum Beach is 90 minutes from Brisbane. Maroochydore airport is less than 10 minutes drive. Or take a train to Nambour, then a bus to Maroochydore and change to a 620 bus to Yaroomba (see Translink online for more public transport options). Our place is ideal for those with a vehicle or bicycle. And if you don't mind to walk a bit, it's good too! On-site secure parking is available. Final details of location are provided to registered guests only.
