10/10 would recommend!
Harkham House was a spacious beautiful and modern house set in the most stunning and peaceful location. Everything was well thought out and accommodated a large group perfectly. We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to anyone looking for the perfect base when coming to stay and explore the Hunter Valley.

Disappointing customer service and communication. House otherwise is satisfactory.
As much as the house might have been lovely and I might have stayed there on a different occasion, I had booked it for my wedding (and advised Hunter Valley Stays prior for permission). I had been advised there would be vines in the property which was the only reason why I had booked the property so I could take wedding photos with the vines. That had always been my dream. I had asked this on at least three times and was reassured every time that there would be vines, also the photos of the property showed there are vines. However, on arrival, there was no vines and I spent one day driving around Hunter Valley asking for permission to take my wedding photos in the vines from different vineyards. What could have been a relaxing wedding turned out to be an extremely stressful one on me and my family. My photography session was also cut short because we ended up driving 20 minutes to go to the next location which we took the vines photos - I had booked 3 photographers and videographers - all of which were charged and billed the travel time. The customer service tried to assist by providing me with some locations which I could quickly take photos of vines, however they did not have the views I wanted, that is the vines and mountains together, also I felt uncomfortable that I did not have the permission from the vineyard owners. I was extremely disappointed. The house, otherwise, was okay but communication with customer service was very unsatisfactory.

Perfect Getaway
The location was amazing. It was only a short drive to the main areas including Cessnock, which was helpful. The peaceful country retreat was just what we all needed to relax and refuel. The property itself was beautiful, it had everything we needed and it was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the additional sofa bed in the larger bedroom. We would highly recommend this property to a small or large group. The host was very friendly and the cellar door on site is a bonus.

Perfect for a getaway
It was a beautiful large property. Perfect for a girls getaway with the warm fire over looking the dining table. Lots of room for the guests and beautiful scenery from each window! This photo was just after sunrise. Such a serene view!

Amazing house for a weekend away
Fabulous house in the heart of the Hunter region. Spacious, beautifully presented and really well equipped. Wonderful views and the pop-up on the doorstep made for a great weekend away.

Delicious!
We tried some of their chocolate liqueur, worth the trip just to try this! A beautiful cellar door and great customer service!
