Stay in a family friendly resort complex, well positioned on the main road into Port Douglas: with 3 pools, BBQ area, kids playground + restaurant. 3 bedrooms and bathroom with shower upstairs. Living space, kitchen, laundry and 2nd bathroom downstairs. More like a home away from home, than simply just another tropical resort in Port Douglas. This townhouse has sleeping spaces upstairs and living spaces downstairs - so everyone can find room to do their own thing, but it`s also big enough so that when everyone wants to come together, you won`t feel crowded. In the townhouse (villa 35) you will enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, with compact convection oven and bench top microwave. There is a medium size refrigerator, dish washing machine and heaps of kitchenware - so you can make the most of townhouse living and budget your nights out on the town. (Although there are some great restaurants around Port Douglas, so try to eat out at least once!) The laundry has a washing machine and drier, and a second bathroom off to the side. (There is a small shower in the downstairs bathroom, which has a raised well wall, to enable it to be used as a bath for washing toddlers.) The living area has a large dining table, that can seat everyone easily, and lounging area with seating for six. Outside the kitchen there is a four seat table setting, adjacent to the lawn and gardens. The Resort Within the grounds there are 3 swimming pools to enjoy, each with its own style and atmosphere, but all set in lush tropical gardens. The onsite letting agent (called Reef Resort, whose booking services you bypass, by dealing directly with the townhouse owner via this website) also provide a tourist activity booking service for tours, sightseeing and great barrier reef day trips, but you will need to pay them directly if you use any of their services. The resort complex was constructed in the Eighties, when Port Douglas was coming of age - so while it is not as modern as some of the `ultanew` developments, neither is the price to stay at villa 35 `ultrahigh`. Plus being located outside of the densely built-up village area (but still on the main road leading into the town) this resort is able to offer you substantially more space, with more amenities, than those in the immediate port precinct: however with the village centre a mere five minute drive away - you can still easily access all the busy restaurants, bars and shops on Macrossan Street , and then - retreat home to more tranquil, serene, spacious surroundings afterwards. Other things to note Booking on this website you are dealing directly with the owner of the townhouse, and are bypassing the onsite letting agent, this enhances your value for money, but still delivers you access to all of the resort common area facilities - pools, playgrounds, BBQ area, etc. Neither cleaning nor linen changes take place during your stay, however if you wish to have the place serviced or fresh linens provided while you are there, please feel free to organise this directly by contacting the cleaning agency representative, who will arrange it for an additional fee. MOBILE PHONE You will be given instructions on how to access the townhouse when you book - There is an electronic access process using a PIN code, so there is no need to pick up the keys offsite, nor wait for someone to bring them to you. Just go straight to the townhouse, when ever you like after 3pm, on the day that you check in. You will need to provide a mobile/cell phone number with your booking/contact details, to receive this PIN. WHO`S IN WHICH BEDS Please advise the bedroom and bedding configurations, that you require for your stay, when you make your booking. (Linens will be supplied, and beds made in accordance with the number of guests that you have booked, and bedroom set-ups that you request. i.e. Not all beds will be made if less than 6 people are staying - if less people stay, the set up, cleaning and linen costs are lower, so the (per person / per night) extra guests charge is used to fairly distribute these costs, depending on how many people are travelling. If you want more beds made up though, just select more guests when you book.) INFANTS/BABIES + COTS Yes, infants are guests too! So please include infants/babies in the total number of guests staying (otherwise bedding/linens/towels won`t be provided for them). However, if your young one(s) would prefer to sleep in a portacot rather than a bed, then just indicate this in your booking, and for an extra AUD$30 I will hire a professionally sanitised portacot for them. (This fee is per cot, per stay, and will be added to your booking.)More

You will be located a short drive (approximately 5 minutes or 3.5km) out of the Port Douglas village area, but easily accessible on the main road into town. Staying here enables you to travel into town, and make the most of the village's vibrant 'hustle and bustle' when you want it, but escape back to more serene, relaxed surroundings when you don't. Choosing a resort outside the town's immediate business district offers you - a stay in a place with; More Personal Space, Bigger Grounds, Larger Resort Facilities and Lower Crowds, and with a hire car - you have quick access to all the world class tourist facilities in the village anytime, anyway- not to mention the ability to get out and explore the world heritage listed local region, at your own speed. Getting around
Drive right up to the front door of the townhouse, and park in your exclusive use undercover car port. Hiring a car will enable you to easily access all the fabulous sights around the area, including sandy beaches, world heritage rain forests, rural communities and events, tourist sites, and also around the Port Douglas village itself (5 minute drive away, up the main road). (If you are from a country where driving is normally on the other side of the road, don't worry... the easy going pace and low traffic levels up here, makes this an ideal place for your first time on the left.)
