We are only 5.7 km from Willemstad and 5.8 km from the airport and within easy reach of western beaches and the best diving on the island. There is a full service grocery store 1/4 mile from the Blue Bay entrance.

You will appreciate the Caribbean construction style, the large sliding doors that open between the living area and the veranda allowing for unique outdoor living. The amount of living space on the veranda is a great feature, with a seating area for 6, lounges, and a dining table that will easily accommodate your party. As the villa is on a rise, we have views over looking the resort, golf course, and owner pool. The gardens, trees, and bushes allow for numerous birds and parrots to visit the villa while offering our guests privacy.
Guests have full access to Blue Bay Beach and sun beds. Rated one of the best beaches on the island with palm trees, thatched palapas, and protected turquoise waters. The beach offers 3 bars, 2 restaurants, showers, changing rooms, massage hut, and “kids Club” play space. Beach is accessed by owner passes provided to you. .
Golf - Blue Bay offers the opportunity to play on one of only 2 golf courses on the island. 'The only course where you play along the Caribbean sea'.
Scuba - Blue Bay Dive is a full service 5 STAR PADI dive center. 2 spectacular shore dives take place right from the beach. We can arrange special discounts for you through Mick at the dive shop. Additionally the shop offers rental of Kayaks, hobie, and paddle boards. .

Checking in and getting acquainted:
Our on site manager will meet you upon arrival and familiarize you with the villa. They are available to assist you during your stay,. Upon booking, Michelle and I will also provide you with a list of our favorite restaurants, dive & snorkel sites, beaches and other activities around the island that may help you in planning your vacation. Curacao and its diverse scenery, restaurants, and beaches are meant to be seen, so we strongly recommend a car to best enjoy your experience.

As far as the villa is concerned, we loved the patio and of course spent most of our time when we were at the villa there. We were surprised how temperate the climate was and the ceiling fans at the porch helped provide a steady breeze. The villa is located a short walk to the beach and you can see the pool area from the porch. It is located in the "Village" section of the resort which is one of the closest to the beach area. This villa is one story. We noticed that other villas in the Village were two stories with each floor being a separate villa number.
The directions that were provided in the emails that were sent prior to our vacation & in the book were very detailed and helpful! All of the recommendations of the owner were great and we paid heed to them.
We had a cat who greeted us each morning and when we returned for the day he hung out with us on the porch. He was a black cat with brown markings whom we named Michael that was very affectionate and helped to make it feel like “home.”
Because we had a rental car we were able to visit many beaches on the island. We brought our own snorkel gear with us and if you have anyone who is snorkeling with children, I highly recommend a surfboard leash-type toddler leash. I got it from Amazon and it allowed my youngest (11) to swim more confidently because he knew he was attached to me. Even at the most crowded beaches, there were still places to sit. All of the beaches we visited had rental chairs available for rent.
Playa Grandi was a big hit because of the bountiful turtles. We even saw a line of squid and some spotted eels. We got here first thing in the morning so that we could enjoy the turtles without anyone else around.
Grote Knip was one of the kids favorite places because of the opportunity to jump from the cliffs into the water without it being too high up. The sandy beach was also nice for just swimming around even though there were jet skis there. A livelier beach compared to the others. When we rented chairs there we were able to use the ticket to get chairs at Kleine Knip. It was much quieter than Grote Knip.
Playa Lagun was a beautiful beach with decent snorkeling. It was interesting watching the groups of scuba divers walk right on the beach and go out for their dive.
Daaibooi Beach was one of my husband's favorites. It was quiet with good snorkeling and white sand.
Our favorite beach was definitely the Blue Bay beach right at the resort. The snorkeling was the best to the right and directly around the bend. We saw the most variety of colorful coral and fish. It also had the most bountiful amount of fish. We saw more at this beach than we did on snorkeling trips on boats on other islands.
Centrum Supermarket that you recommended was very easy to get in and out of and was perfect to pick up pastries for breakfast on our way to the beach and lunch meat to make sandwiches. The pumpkin pancakes & pastechi were delicious.
We went to Playa Forti restaurant twice because it was a good mix of local food / seafood and decent burgers for the kids. Kehsi yena was delicious and we were able to watch the iguanas and the brave people cliff diving. It was a great stop for lunch between beaches and not very expensive.
Another good restaurant was La Boheme in Williamstead. Delicious arepas and smoothies and a nice place to cool off for lunch.
We were going to try Plasa Bieu, but it was crowded when we were in town. That will be a must do on our next visit.
We tried the restaurant and the bar at the beach and were unimpressed with the food quality, but were happy that at least we could walk back to the villa.
Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. This was the first Caribbean vacation in a while that was not an all inclusive and we were happy to be able to go around and see the island in ways that we would not have otherwise. Thank you so much and we hope to come back in a few years!
