We loved our stay at Tracey and Christopher's yurt and would absolutely recommend it. They were both very friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home and very comfortable.
They were also very helpful and went above and beyond to help make our stay comfortable.
Instantly, we loved the yurt's unique decor and space. It is an authentic Mongolian yurt shipped to Canada. Tracey and Christopher have thought of everything and even had little extras, like incents, a bottle of wine, epsom salts for the bath and more. The claw foot bathtub was amazing, and extremely relaxing with the twinkly lights on and an incense burning!
The bed was extremely comfortable (an Endy bed).
The kitchen has everything that you could need - utensils, french press, coffee maker, etc. The BBQ was very easy to work. Wifi works great, it's very fast (it's Starlink), and if you feel like watching tv it is there with Netflix and cable!
There is a firepit to use in the yard and Tracey & Christopher tried to set a bonfire up for us but the weather didn't cooperate. Another example of how they go above and beyond to make their guests happy!
The location for us was perfect - a quiet getaway away from the highway, but close enough to provincial parks in the area. The area and small towns are also very cool to explore and check out. Guests have access to a private beach, canoe and there is also a public beach in nearby Port Loring along with a few restaurants.
The purpose of our trip up here was to do a 20+ km hike in Killarney and we wanted a relaxing and comfortable place to rest after our big hike. We couldn't have made a better choice than the yurt, it was perfect for what we wanted and exceeded our expectations. It was an experience all on its own and would be worth the trip up just to experience a luxurious yurt stay.
We hope to go back and experience it again, with some snow! Thank you both for the wonderful and memorable stay! Jacklynn & Kevin.
