The Forest of Dean, Symonds Yat, The Malverns & The Brecon Beacons are close by for glorious walks & wildlife. Local antique shops, castles, arts and craft centres. Had a fab weekend in this lovely cottage with friends. Very clean and spacious with all mod cons. Very peaceful and quiet location.

About the neighbourhood
From Kerne Bridge many attractions can be accessed. The cottage is opposite the River Wye famous for its Barble. The cottage stands on the Wye Valley Footpath, offering many walks right on the doorstep!!
We are opposite Coppett Hill, with a variety of walks and fabulous views of Wales and Herefordshire. Close by is The Forest of Dean with its rich heritage of Roman iron works, coal mining, lime and charcoal production, with many walks and activities.
THe area has many castles and hill forts, Goodrich Castle being just a short walk away. The Symonds Yat gorge, with its peregrine falcons and walks by the river, is also close by.
The area has many good pubs and restaurants.
Getting around
A car is quite essential to get the best from a stay in the area, although the cottage is served by two bus routes.

When at the cottage, we are on two local bus routes, if members of your party would like to have some independence.
