About the neighbourhood
Founded in 1884, Gedera is one of the oldest cities in the country. In fact, its main street in the old section of the town is a legally preserved area. Currently at 18,000 residents, Gedera will reach its maximum of 50,000 within the next two decades.
There is rapid building in the new section of the town, with most residents working in hi-tech and other white collar professions. As the number of residents expand, so do the services provided for them, such that there is an overall sense of satisfaction for the work that the municipality provides.
Gedera is registered as a local government in a countryside settlement, and the municipality works hard to keep the rural flavor of country life intact.
