Although we are not on site we can be contacted via mobile phone if there are any problems etc. Lovely beaches to explore from parcllwyd e.g. Poppitt Sands, Newquay, Newport all dog friendly. Lots of activities in the area including walking, horse riding, fishing, golf, bike riding. Recommend places to visit include Newquay Honey Farm, dyfed Shire Centre, Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park. Also ideal location for bird watching, there are a pair of red kites often seen.

We stayedatthe cottage, for 4 nights its in a lovely area the cottage is very big and has everything you need, we loved it took our 3 dogs and explored the garden with them. i'm not sure i would let them roam around on their own its quite big and lots of trees some gaps in fence but being brambles don't think they would've tried to get out a little mesh fence would be ideal i love gardening and would've loved to have got my hands on this one it needs a little T.L.C but can't fault it for an holiday. The cottage was very clean i would deffinately recommend it beaches close by our favourite was Aberporth wher is was quiet for july but dog friendly stayed all day good car parking and cafe at the top near car park.tesco and aldi very close by. :)

We visited this cottage leading up to Easter and would totally recommend it to anyone. We have two dogs and the layout of the cottage and especially the garden is fantastic being totally enclosed. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The location is perfect as a central base for sightseeing with beaches just a few miles away.

This is our second stay at Parcllwyd near Cilgerran. The owners were happy to let us take our 3 dogs (2 Yorkies and a Springerpoo cross) We recorded the hottest day of the year so far and the dogs were very appreciative of the cottages cool tile/ original quarry tile floor in the kitchen and dining room. Our previous visit was in October 2014, we had to give 2015 a miss due to a house move, but the heating system worked fine. There was lots of hot water from the combined heater, needles to say the heating didn't come into play. Apart from the exceptional accommodation, we like the walking the area has to offer. You can walk from the cottage to Cardigan taking in the Wild life centre it's about an 8 mile round trip. In Cardigan there's a wonderful cafe where if a dog takes its human companion in the dog gets a free sausage. Back in Cilgerran apart from the Castle, the river and the walks there's also a dog friendly pub "The Cardiff Arms" just pop the dogs round the back into the beer garden which also has a large weather proof sheltered area, and you can round off a perfect day.

My husband, myself and another married couple spent a week here from 10-17th August 2013. Our friends had chosen the location and cottage as they know Wales quite well plus it was very hard to find availability over summer time, but they managed to book a fantastic cottage. On arrival to the cottage, we were impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage, including a very clean kitchen and bathroom. There is just a slight smell of dog which is to be expected as the cottage does allow dogs. We were also impressed with the size of it, the kitchen, dining room and lounge area are all spacious and very comfortable. There is enough furniture to cater for everyone and the kitchen is well stocked with all the cutlery and other items you might need during your stay. The other couple stayed in the double room, which was very spacious and they said the bed was comfortable, my husband and I shared the twin bed room which was spacious as well and included dressing tables and hanging space. The back room designed for babies and children was also large enough if you do have kids, it also had a cot in there. The bathroom is a bit smaller, but the shower is good and fine for 4 adults sharing for a week. The garden is large and would be great if you had a dog as it could explore quite a bit. Only downside was we did not locate the bbq, but thankfully we had brought our own bbq. The cottage also stocks, board games, radio and puzzles for when you want to spend evenings or even days in. The television is also in good working condition and is a good size. Location wise, you do need a car (the cottage has space for 2 cars to park which we used). It is walking distance into the high street of Cilgerran, including the 3 charming pubs and the castle. All about a 20-30 minute walk and we felt safe walking back later in the night from the pub. All locals are very friendly. We spent most days out exploring the rest of the Pembrokeshire area and felt we were situated well enough to easily get to where we wanted to go to. Also, if you are lost for ideas, the cottage has many brochures and a folder with information on different sight seeing activities. Please be aware that we got limited mobile phone reception whilst in the cottage (in the garden we could get a little reception) and there is no Wi-Fi available. Overall, we would recommend this holiday let to family and friends as it is a fantastic choice as well as being reasonably priced. Further to this, both my husband and I as well as the other couple would definitely stay again.
