Holiday Rental House
Coach House Cottage is an old fisherman's cottage in the heart of 17th century Robin Hoods bay. It is the perfect place from which to enjoy village life. It is only moments from the beach and the sea and at night you can hear the waves at high tide. It is comfortable at all times of the year, equally good as a warm retreat on a winters day with a blazing fire or as a peaceful bolt hole, a rest from beach-combing in the summer. The cottage sleeps 4 comfortably and 6 by request and if they are small !!(ie. extra children). Downstairs we have spacious; for the village living space. There is a large well-equipped kitchen with a log burning stove and a separate sitting room with an open log fire. Upstairs the bathroom has a neat victorian slipper bath and quirky sloping ceilings. You may need to mind your head ! There is a large collection of games, puzzles, detective novels, and maps, walking books and Wellingtons in almost every size! The cottage comes with a parking permit for the nearby Fisherhead car park. Please note in keeping with the character of the village the cottage is accessed by a series of steps up and down from street level. It is not easily accessible with prams and buggies however we have guests and relatives young and old who have visited this cottage for years without difficulty. What we DO NOT have is a...Microwave, Dishwasher, Central Heating or Radio Reception. WHAT WE DO HAVE is thermostat controlled electric heating, a log stove , a real fire , a well equipped kitchen, lots of charm and noisy sea gulls.More

Stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary. We last visited 3 years ago. The cottage was equally as delightful, quirky and spotlessly clean, and was perfect for our needs. We had great weather. Enjoyed walking to Whitby along the coastal path and good meals...More

A cottage with oodles of charm and character right in the Bay. Cosy with a folky feel, and only seconds from the beach, shops, pubs and cafes.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The location is great, very close to the beach and pubs. Having a parking permit is a life saver as there are zero parking options in the village. The cottage has plenty of facilities and a...More

About the neighbourhood
The Village is one of the gems of the North Yorkshire National Park but there are other fantastic coastal villages and beautiful picturesque moorland and dale villages all within easy reach. There are castles , stately homes, Surfing centres, Victorian seaside resorts etc. in fact there there is so much to discover in this part of England that in my 47 years of visiting I am still discovering new things to do each time
How to get there
By train, to York changing at scarborough and a bus into the village By car from the south, routes from the M1-A1, A64 A169 By Car By car, from the west via M62 A1 By Car from the North.....
