This villa in the hillside community of La Farlede...
This villa in the hillside community of La Farlede (above Toulon) was fairly wonderful. It's an expansive home with four bedrooms (each with individual AC units, which proved invaluable as it was rather warm during our stay), generous-sized living/dining area and a wonderful outdoor kitchen/dining area adjacent to an inviting pool and hot tub. A pool table and ping pong were also nice.
The home has all the amenities one could need in terms of modern appliances, extensive cookware, dishes and accessories in a smallish kitchen.
One addition that would have been helpful would have been a "smart TV", as the cable offerings were all in French without subtitles.
Perhaps the best asset that the home offers is the amazing owner, NIco. Several in our group unfortunately contracted COVID just prior to arrival. Nico kindly made the home available to us two days early, which was hugely beneficial towards our getting needed rest in safety.
It turns out that Nico is also a medical professional, who's expertise was enormously helpful in helping us contend with COVID. He kindly went to the pharmacy for us and even arranged for a visiting doctor to come evaluate and treat us in the home as well as renting a CPAP machine. Beyond our medical needs, Nico was incredibly responsive to issues that came up (the power went out a couple of times), and even ordered us pizza delivery the first night!
So between the home being wonderful and Nico's care, we highly recommend this charming villa.

Our group of 6 enjoyed our stay in La Farlede. It's a peaceful location with great views of the mountain behind and down towards the coast from the upstairs balcony.
The location s a great base to explore the area, with plenty to see to the East and West, although to be honest we didn't explore as much as we normally would on holiday because the Villa was such a great place to kick back and unwind. We particularly liked the beaches over to the East around le Lavandou, with many coves of soft sand, warm turquoise sea (with glitter in the water!) - as close as we have seen to tropical Caribbean beaches in Western Europe.
The villa is spacious but we spent most of our time in and around the pool area, with the occasional trip indoors to play pool, and of course going in to sleep at night! When you arrive Nico is very clear with all you need to know about the property, and is always a phone call or text away if you have a problem - fantastic help and advice from Nico.
Nights got pretty warm, but the warm mistral winds and room fans kept things bearable and we all got good sleep. The front door lock is a pain because it's hard to use, and because you spend most time outside you tend to keep it locked - which makes popping in and out of the villa annoying. A minor improvement would be door access to the villa direct from the pool area, but it's no big deal really.
Highly recommend this villa - one of the best holidays we've ever had. Can also recommend Eurostar from UK to Marseilles - we hired a car from Marseilles and it was only about an hour to drive to the villa.

Stayed here in La Farlede during the last week of ...
Stayed here in La Farlede during the last week of September 2016 and if we had to summarise in just one word it would be "Perfect".
This house has so much going for it, the facilities in the garden alone are outstanding, we wanted for nothing, everything was in good condition and it all worked without fault. With the temperature a steady 25 degrees and blazing sunshine we must have spent 90% of our time by the pool or in the outdoor eating area.
This building has a gas cooker, hobs, a huge U.S. Style fridge freezer with ice on tap, a dishwasher even a seperate w/c and shower. Everything was there and coupled with the BBQ we felt no reason to eat anywhere else.
The Villa itself has a great room with a pool table and bar area, we used this late evenings some days, it's a unique touch which would probably be more useful if the weather wasn't on your side. All the bedrooms were comfortable, the downstairs shower looked like something from a 6* hotel!
Genuinely couldn't fault our stay, already planning to go back next year.
The town is about 15 mins walk, we had the luxury of 2 rental cars to get to the superb beaches but can't comment on how easy this would be otherwise.
Thank you once again Nico, you were so helpful from start to finish and it's no surprise to us that this villa is so popular and highly rated as a result.
