Elevated on a hill to capture tropical breezes, the property has stunning views of Thornton Peak, Cape Tribulation and the Coral Sea. We are located in close proximity to the beautiful Cow Bay beach, numerous waterholes, mangroves and rainforest boardwalks. We have two Bungalows; Mangosteen and (Rambutan), which have been constructed using rammed earth to ensure a cool interior and designed to maximise views of the mountain ranges from the comfort of your bedroom and bathroom. Both have an outdoor bath constructed of rammed earth, a pleasant way to soak under the stars. Each bungalow has private undercover decking with seating and self -contained cooking facilities. We provide breakfast foods including; local fruit, muesli, bread, milk, a variety of local tea, plunger coffee, honey and ...Elevated on a hill to capture tropical breezes, the property has stunning views of Thornton Peak, Cape Tribulation and the Coral Sea. About the neighbourhood
Cow Bay is a small community with many of the homes beautifully camouflaged within the rain forest. There is a shop which provides basic supplies and a petrol station. The Cow Bay Beach is as stunning as any other tropical beach and is close proximity to many boardwalks and trails. We have two unique ice cream places, a few cafes and a hotel. You do need a car to get around and really explore the area. It is a 30-40 minute drive to Cape Tribulation.
How to get there
Once off the ferry you travel across the range which can take up to 10-15 minutes. When you come to Cow Bay you travel past the Cow Bay Hotel on the right hand side, then Floravilla Ice Cream. Take the next turn right into Buchanan Creek Road, then the first driveway on the right, marker 22, approximately 200 metres from the main road.
