Set on the top floor of this attractive Lakeland stone built house, you will have uninterrupted views looking down Derwentwater to Borrowdale, perfect to tempt you out and explore. The open plan living space has plenty of light, space and of course windows pulling in those fabulous views. A kitchen area to get the day started with an excellent breakfast, a double bedroom with lake views and exposed timber beams, because of the nature of the eaves, there are sloping ceilings. Head out for Keswick, it’s a lovely 2 mile level walk into the market town, a haven for walkers, shoppers and foodies, with an abundance of outdoor and independent speciality shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs all serving an excellent range of meals for every pallet. It’s possible to leave the car and venture out on foot, with stunning walks, low and high level, if you fancy something a bit more challenging, head down Borrowdale valley for a direct ascent up Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain. Derwentwater has sailing, kayaking or the more leisurely Keswick Launch. For the thrill seekers there are many tours that will offer ghyll scrambling or try your hand at climbing at the excellent Keswick Climbing Wall. Pub and restaurant 500 yds, shop 1.5 miles. Beach 22½ miles. Shop 1½ miles, pub 500 yards and restaurant 100 yards. Cob can be booked together with Brandelhowe (ref UK1402), Shire (ref UK1403) and Hunter (ref UK1404) to accommodate up to 12 guests. Free WiFi. No children under 6 years old.
