About the neighbourhood
La Serre is situated in the small hamlet of La Bégonie, just 5 minutes from the centre of the pretty village of Daglan, where you will find a bakers, a small supermarket, two restaurants, a tea room, various craft shops, a tourist information centre, and a weekly market. Bergerac airport is an easy 50 minutes drive away and medieval Sarlat is a 15 minute drive. All the 'must see' sites of the Dordogne are in a 30km radius from the house. The local wine Vin de Domme (AOC) is produced on this hill above the medieval village of Daglan, and the world famous wine regions of Bordeaux are not far away.
