Perfect relaxing get away
Very much enjoyed our stay.Central location,great access to beaches and national parks.Beautiful outlook for the huge windows from the villa, plenty of kangaroos hoping past as you enjoying the quiet serenity.The bed was so comfortable and the villa it self was immaculate.Every little detail was well thought out from the bath robes supplied to the warming bed socks and even the fire place was set up to go.We ordered the pre cooked dinner from the chef which was the Osso Buco which was so tender and flavourful.The breakfast box was fresh and it had everything you could think of.There was so much food.Highly recommend staying at Ecopia.

Magical
We had an incredible four-day stay at this beautiful resort, which was a perfect birthday getaway for our 8-year-old daughter. The well-equipped accommodations and stunning natural surroundings provided a relaxing environment for our family. Our daughter loved exploring the area, and the engaging activities kept her entertained. We were also impressed by the delicious meals made with local ingredients. The exceptional hospitality and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. We can't wait to return!

Wonderful nature getaway
Had a wonderful time at ecopia. Got to wake up to kangaroos right outside the window. Yael was so lovely and always on hand for any questions. The place is wonderfully secluded but with easy access to all the best bits of kangaroo island on the southern coast.

Peaceful comfortable self catering experience
A lovely stay in a lovely part of the world. Ecopia is perfectly set up for a relaxing and enjoyable self catering experience. Great location, friendly wildlife and beautiful vegetation. Well done Ecopia Retreat!

Heaven on Kangaroo Island
Absolutely a fantastic place to stay on KI. You are literally in your own world here, with kangaroos to greet you each morning. The order in dinners and breakfasts are generous and perfectly done. The owners responded quickly to every question and had helpful advice on the area. Their eco-based approach was obvious in every aspect of our stay. Drive carefully particularly after dusk as the wildlife is abundant.

Paradise!
We stayed four nights in one of only two little cottages at this beautiful, secluded sanctuary. The luxurious efficiency "hut," as one reviewer called it, is stylishly decorated and comfortable. A bottle of wine and a lovely cheese plate greeted us upon our arrival. We ordered one of the "catered" dinners, and it was enough for two meals for two. Delicious meat and vegetables to barbecue, delivered by Lina, the charming and helpful caretaker. The kitchen was well-equipped, but there were a few items lacking that were easy to live without—oven, microwave, dishwasher. There is a washing machine and a rack and line for drying outdoors. WIFI was excellent, in case you don’t want total isolation. We enjoyed hiking around the area and admiring the kangaroos, wallabies, and black swans. The koala in a nearby tree slept through our entire visit. We highly recommend this amazing paradise.

The perfect week away
You know that feeling when you go somewhere and immediately feel like you’re home, that is how ecopia has felt for us and it’s definitely a place we will be returning too. We didn’t have the best weather during our stay but we didn’t feel we missed out on anything. We came to Kangaroo Island for the wildlife, what we weren’t expecting was so much at Ecopia. Each day we went for long walks around the property, looking at the wildlife, we spotted kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, a goanna and wedge tailed eagles. We were even lucky enough to have a koala in the tree right beside the villa for the day. We loved just sitting on the couch and watching the kangaroos out the window. We wanted OZ wildlife and we got it.

Tolles Studio mitten in der Wildnis!
Das Ecopia Retreat ist für einen Besuch auf Kangaroo Island absolut zu empfehlen. Durch seine gute Lage in der Inselmitte kommt man überall gut hin. DAs Angebot für Frühstück und Barbecue ist super, um sich Einkäufe zu sparen und das Studio hat alles, was man braucht.
Direkt vor unserem Fenster konnten wir die wildlebenden Känguruhs beobachten. Es war herrlich ruhig.
Zu bemängeln ist lediglich, dass es im Bad keine Abstellmöglichkeiten gibt und auch der Schrank sehr klein und dann schon gut gefüllt ist.
Aber wir würden es auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!

Simply Perfect!
A beautiful experience in an exquisite location with a sumptuous meal. What else could we have asked for at Ecopia Retreat. Yael and her team are spectacular. After arriving, we had many questions and Lina was there to not only answer them, but she also kindly took the time to walk us through the property. She pointed out Koala’s (we saw two that first evening), showed us how to look for echidnas (we saw 4 our first night). We also saw lots of kangaroo and black swans and other amazing birds that was even before we entered Villa May. Beautifully done, comfortable, the villa was perfect. And then we opened the fridge. We had ordered
Osso Buco for dinner and groceries for two breakfasts. The fridge was packed. The prepared dinner we heated was delicious, and fruits, yogurt, eggs, cheese, juices… exceeded expectations. Our only regret was not staying a few extra nights. Kangaroo island is gods land and we felt like we stayed at the garden on Eden! Just incredible ! Thank-you Yael for building and sharing your precious paradise.

Nature + luxury
Ecopia exceeded our expectations. The villa was so tastefully decorated and had everything we needed for a nature-focused relaxing getaway. I didn’t want to leave!

How to get there
Ecopia Retreat is located on Gregors Road in the centre of Kangaroo Island. Heading west down South Coast Road, coming from Kingscote, Penneshaw, or the airport, once you see the Gregors Road sign post, turn right. Continue up Gregors Road for 5.6km or until you see another blue sign ‘KI Ecopia Retreat’. Turn left at this sign (this is the entrance to Ecopia Retreat and the neighbouring properties). Continue along the driveway for approximately 2km. Once you reach the 90 degree left hand bend, you will see a rammed-earth wall with a sign ‘Ecopia’ on it; continue straight ahead and simply follow the road across the lagoon to enter the magnificent Ecopia Retreat! Continue straight ahead to reach Residence Ecopia or take left at the fork in the road towards the Villas.
