We had 12 glorious days at Quart-A-Nancy Point. What a fabulous spot. This was truly the most relaxing vacation we have ever taken. We have sailed to Cooper Island for the last 10 years, and decided to rent a house this time. The best decision ever! The views are spectacular, the hermit crabs very entertaining, snorkeling and kayaking for exercise, and enjoying reading on the beautiful outdoor living room porch (love the hammock!). I could not imagine a better place for our honeymoon! The incredible views, local hospitality, the amenities, snorkeling, hermit crabs... it was perfect! I could go on and on, but if you are reading this trying to decipher guest comments and whether this house is worthy of your vacation plans, I am writing this to tell you that it is, it really, really is. Quart-A-Nancy is Quite-A-Place!!!! The privacy and amenities provided in this lovely hillside home made for a wonderful Cooper Island vacation experience for us during our 4th visit to this unique and special island. It truly is a spectacular setting, and the owners have made some lovely renovations and upgrades to their home. We have been to many Caribbean destinations, but have to say that the view from the glorious front porch is probably the most beautiful we have ever experienced!!!! You could spend your entire vacation just sitting there savoring the sunsets and watching the sail boats and cruise ships pass by. Showering will never be the same again once you have used the fabulous new open air one! The house provides excellent grilling facilities and has a very well-equipped kitchen (I even made muffins!),as well as a generous supply of linens/towels. Having the Internet access and TV was a real plus too. As always, the warm and friendly CIBC staff was most accommodating in ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. Having stayed at the CIBC during our prior visits to the island, I would have to say the only negative with staying at Quart-A-Nancy rather than in one of the efficiencies, is accessibility. If you plan to have all your meals at the house, and don't wish to sun-bathe /swim from a sandy beach, then Quart-A-Nancy is definitely the place for you. However, if you do plan to spend much time over at the CIBC, be aware that getting back and forth can be challenging. While the hillside location affords privacy and a spectacular view, it IS quite a hike up and down, and certainly not for those who are not physically fit. Don't pack just your flip-flops; bring your sneakers!!! Also, depending on wind /weather conditions, the trip back and forth via dinghy can be tricky as well, and would recommend that you not make this your first boating experience if you are not already accustomed to the sport. Overall though, we had a wonderful stay, and thank the Kruse family for sharing their lovely home, and allowing us to experience Cooper Island from a perspective we never would have experienced otherwise. As you indicate in your description - it truly is a small piece of paradise!

Our recent stay at Copper Island was wonderful: the swimming and snorkelling was great, and the hummingbird show around the porch was amazing. The house is in great shape, and the many improvements are terrific. We enjoyed the new plantings, the paved patio, and especially the new outdoor shower. 11/27/2006 This was our second trip in as many years to Cooper Island, BVI. Last year, my wife and I stayed at a different private home on the island. While we still had a great vacation, Quart-A-Nancy Point was a complete upgrade in all respects. The house is absolutely beautiful with fantastic views across the channel. Fred and Candia (the new owners) have obviously spent considerable love, time and money updating this vacation home and it shows inside and out. We cooked most of our meals at the house. Each day after scuba diving (Sail Caribbean is an excellent outfit) the four of us ate lunch at the Cooper Island Beach Club. The food is absolutely fantastic and reasonably priced. We also fully enjoyed taking the motorized dinghy back and forth to the beach club especially at night for dinner (or drinks), which was equally fantastic food. The dinghy was also put to daily use transporting us to the mooring balls at the far side of Manchionel Bay for really good snorkeling at Cistern Point rock. Snorkeling was surprisingly good to the North side of the private dock at the house. We had a multitude of close encounters right in Manchionel Bay with green turtles, eagle rays, stingrays, very large barracuda, octopus… Quart-A-Nancy Point provided us with the complete privacy we always look for on vacations of this type. When we weren’t in the water, most of our time was spent on the beautiful open-air porch that spans the entire length of the house. We chartered a private trip to spend the day over at Virgin Gorda. Make sure you try to plan around the cruise ship schedule. We were picked up and dropped off right at the house dock. I also highly recommend renting kayaks for your entire stay. They provide you with wonderful exploring opportunities around Cooper and give you the vehicle to discover some truly amazing “off the map” snorkeling spots around the Southern side of the island. The kayaks also allow you to access completely private desolate sandy beaches for which to pack a lunch, plenty of beers and water to spend the day wasting time, swimming and snorkeling (such as Haulovers Bay). If you are looking for the true definition of getting away and completely unwinding, Cooper Island and Quart-A-Nancy Point is the place. We Just got back from our stay at Quart -A- Nancy. We had a fantastic time! We celebrated our 10th Anniversary there. It is the perfect prescription for a couple craving privacy, seclusion, romance and spending uninterrupted quality time with each other. The views are unparalled. Snorkeling right off of the private dock is some of the best we've seen and the water was crystal clear and as warm as a soothing bath. A wonderful restaurant with a helpful and friendly staff is just a dinghy ride away, whenever you want to be in contact with civilization. The folks at Cooper Island Beach Club are ever present and helpful in caring for the house. The owners have clearly put a lot of love and attention into updating the house and continue to improve it even further. Having wireless internet and a phone available was an incredible plus and a very unusual amenity for a vacation house on a tiny out-island. We had a blast and are making plans to return next year, if not sooner. Keep up the fantastic work, Fred & Candia!
