Snowgums is situated in a quiet village on the edge of Briancon. Wonderful group or family accomodation in beautiful old farmhouse, right in the heart of Serre Chevalier! 300 days of sunshine a year!
Prices here are based on a stay of 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday. Shorter or longer stays are welcome. Please ask for prices for your group and dates.
Two minutes from Chantemerle cablecar and the pistes. 10 minutes to thermal spa baths with sauna, hamam, flotation tank, indoor/outdoor pools etc. Easy access to all mountain sports, skiing, boarding, cycling, mountain biking, hiking, rafting, canoeing and lots more! Charming, comfortable accommodation
I stayed in Pippa's comfortable studio apartment with a friend as part of a group on a walking - singing tour in Provence Hautes Alpes at the end of summer in perfect sunny weather. The Snowgums studio had every practical convenience for our comfort and was spotlessly clean. It was in a beautiful location with alpine views and provided a perfect base for hiking adventures and also as a venue for our singing workshops . Pippa was a reliable, warm and welcoming hostess who provided us with all the necessary local advice but was not in any way intrusive. I would love to come back again in the winter for the skiing season!

Another lovely stay at snowgums
Stayed at snowgums for the second time, this time in winter (April) and this time we booked the whole chalet for the two families in our party. Worked really well for the two families, having both private space for each, and the large social/ eating room in one of the chalet's where we mostly cooked and ate together.
Really convenient for the skiing at Serre Chevalier and trips to Briancon (shops, old town etc).

Cycle touring the Alps
* of us stayed comfortably in this wonderfully rustic farmhouse. Pippa was always available and willing to help with any queries. There was a great welcome basket of cheese and other delicacies and the meal she arrange to be delivered from a local chef were fantastic.
We'll be back.

Beautiful chalet in a beautiful place
Pippa's chalet had everything you need, it was very clean and well equipped. Pippa was a very informative and friendly host inviting us for coffee and cake on our last morning. The chalet is in an excellent position with skiing only a few minutes drive away. The chalet is split into two apartments which was great for us as we were a group of two separate families. This meant we had our own private space but we're able to enjoy meals together in the larger apartment. All in all this was just what we were looking for. Thanks Pippa!

Quiet village 5 minutes from the centre of town. Field for sledging or dogwalking in front of the house. Easy access to slopes and town by free bus. There is a lifetime of exploring and things to do, all within an hour of here: hiking, picnics, swimming, kayaking, rafting, relaxing in the garden, dog walks, climbing, thermal spa, via ferrata, visiting Italy, fine food, markets, walking with llamas, horse riding, skiing, snowboarding, X-country skiing, paragliding, hot air ballooning, road cycling, mountain biking, enjoying summer medieval festivals, picnics, donkey rides, farm visits, tennis, Go Ape!, fishing, visiting the medieval old town, husky sled rides, and much, much more! And we are on hand for all the tips and pointers you need!
Getting around
A car really isn't necessary if you're here to ski as there are free ski buses taking you the 2km to the slopes, all day, every day. Out of ski season there are a few buses that take you further afield, and there are regular buses into town all day, but a car or bikes will mean you can really explore the area and see all it has to offer.
