Fairly new two bedroom, two bathroom house for rent, with its own access to beach with a wide view of the beach from the house. The house is located on the island of Eleuthera, one of the most beautiful islands in the Bahamas. The cottage has a nice wide patio, equipped with ceiling fans, facing the beach for enjoying meals or evening drinks. Beds: 1 Queen Bed, 2 Twin Beds. There are two kayaks available for your enjoyment on the calm Caribbean Sea in front of the cottage. We also have a barbecue area on the beach with lots of seating and cover.

Great vacation - great experience
Overall our vacation was flawless and a great experience. Before mentioning the rental, here are some travel tips: 1. Be prepared to get in slow motion mode. Nothing happens quickly here. 2. Most stores are closed on Sunday. This includes restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. 3. The no-see-ums and mosquitos are mean. 4. If you fly Bahama-Air, plan on you flight being delayed. Apparently they are know for delays. So be careful scheduling if you need to have connecting flights. 5. Bring cash. Many place are cash only. This even includes many car rentals. As for the house, it was in great condition and was well equipped. All we needed to do was stock the fridge. The beach area behind the house was great although the shoreline is somewhat rocky. We were completely alone on the beach the entire time we were there. This gave us the opportunity to do whatever we wanted ;-)

Beautiful, Peaceful, Amazing & Relaxing
If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing trip - than this part of the island is for you. This property was even more amazing than described. Very private. Very clean. Very peaceful. The property is located only a few minutes drive to the fishing village where you can buy all your groceries, water, fresh fish (from the dock daily), visit with locals, attend beautiful services, etc. Snorkeling is abundant wherever you are. The sand varies from beach to beach. The sea shells at the beach in front of the house were the best on the whole island - very abundant. This is definitely a place I will return to again. The sunsets were amazing. The snorkeling was absolutely fabulous (we liked Cape Eleuthera the best for snorkeling). Lighthouse Beach really needs to be visited - where the Caribbean meets Atlantic - the finest sand I have ever felt. The water everywhere was spectacular and clear. Rent a car or cab (we did both). Car rents for $50-$70 day. Awesome locals.
